Friday’s Letters

Dear First Week of School, I couldn’t have asked for better. Thanks for not throwing us any curveballs. Well, except that bird that flew into our house the morning of the first day. That was kinda funny though.

Dear Kerri (from Dating Naked), Listen, the feelings aren’t mutual, Chris just isn’t that into you. He’s hot, I get it. But I just don’t see this ending the way you want. Sorry.

Dear L’s Teacher, Homework is only going to be sent home once a month? I cannot thank you enough!

Dear Pumpkin Spice, Who started this craze? Do we really need pumpkin spice everything? Seriously, who thought of Pumpkin Spice Water? And Pumpkin Spice Twinkies? Nope.

Dear Mom2Mom Sale, I’m still trying to figure out how I volunteered for you.  I am hoping to pass you on to some other mom who is ready to chair an event ASAP.  I promise to leave incredible notes though.

Dear B, When did we get so old that we now think 9pm is late to start a football game?

Dear Fantasy Football, I think I want to join a league next year.  I know nothing, but it seems like it’d be fun.

Dear WB, Yes, I also hope you get to go on the playground today. Because if you don’t, I am going to hear about it all.weekend.long.

Dear Buzz Feed, You’re right. I will never ever have to look up a phone number in a giant phone book again.  It’s hard to believe we use to have to do that!

I’m with you on the pumpkin overload and I LOVE most things pumpkin! Totally different topic….I just got billed for my fall Walmart box.I know it’s only $5 but it’s generally $5 wealth spent!

    1. Lin

      *Well*

Why aren’t they going on the playground? Is the weather bad? At Cs preschool they go out everyday barring bad weather. He loves it. Of course yesterday he said they didn’t get to go out as long since they were finishing a project. He won’t tell me the project so I guess I’ll have to see when he brings it home. LOL

It was just too wet the first day! He goes in the morning and their outside time is first thing in the am!

  3. Amy

I know at some schools, the kids don’t go outside on the playground for the first week or two until they start understanding the playground rules, etc. I’m not sure if that’s how your school is though.

    1. Jennifer

They let them go out this morning. It was just too wet from all the dew on the first day. He was thrilled today when he heard they were going outside though!

  4. Melissa

Aww, so glad he got to go outside! Here’s my Friday Letter: Dear Jen, next week can we talk about everyone’s favorite subscription box products? Or is it too soon after the last time we talked about it? LOL. One of my favorite topics.

Pumpkin Spice Twinkies, I might try, though I never buy them. Pumpkin Spice Water? No way, Jose.

LOL@ the phone book thing. We still get them delivered here and I have no idea why. I think they come out every few months, though it’s been a while since I got one so maybe (*knock on wood*) they’re finally done. It was worse when I lived in Scottsdale, there we got like 4 different books, every other month.

I want to try Fantsy Football but I have no clue how to do it. Everytime you mention WB and school, I get tickled about him not getting lunch like his big brother causing a possible boycott.

Totally do fantasy next year!!! My friends and I started a league a few years back and it makes the whole season SO much more fun (for us and our husbands because we care so much more)!

  8. jen

Pumpkin flavored water. . . No, just no.

  9. Rose D.

Ugh, there is WAY too much Pumpkin Spice stuff. There is NO need for my little grocery store to have 5 end caps filled with various Pumpkin Spice products.

The worst? Somehow, the combo of face creams I use at night smells like Pumpkin Spice! It’s everywhere!!!!

  10. Debbie S.

Definitely do fantasy football. Especially if football is already on in your hour anyway. My husband and I started a league with my family and it has been so much fun and it’s something else that my husband and I can talk about. I always think people at restaurants must think we’re crazy if they overhear or conversations about player unholy reports and projected stats lol.

    1. Debbie S.

Oh boy lol lets try again “our conversations about player injury reports”.

I love that you watch Dating Naked too! My husband watches it with me 🙂 So excited to see that Mason is back for the next episode! Kerri should have NEVER gotten rid of him, he’s the best!

I saw pumpkin spice sausage at Food Lion the other day. Now that’s too much! I got pumpkin spice Belevita breakfast biscuits and they are good. So are the ps Poptarts.

I love all things pumpkin during the fall but pumpkin twinkles and water uh no, just stick with pumpkin bread, lattes which I can’t have due to migraines, uggg. I even had one this week and sure enough had dizziness and headaches so bummed about that. Okay pumpkin pie, ice cream and cereal which I got from Trader Joe’s, hopefully the cereal will be good. I am glad WB was able to go outside. I still can’t believe some places have rain when we are still in a drought and hot hot hot.
