It looks like we have another player in the subscription box business! Macy’s has just announced they are launching “The Spotlight“. It’s $9.99/month and will include one full-size product along with an assortment of beauty and fragrance samples. They haven’t released information on when the first box will ship, but you can sign up to get on the waitlist now. I expect this to be hugely popular, so reserve your spot!

I haven’t gotten a chance to update this post, but they aren’t accepting anyone to the waitlist right now. I believe they are in the process of changing their name and will relaunch soon.

Hey when you hit the reserve button it takes you to an error page inside M by Macy’s. Just wanted to let you know. How are they doing their waiting list bc I’ve been on it since like October 2015! About to just move on especially after the horrible customer service I just received on their call line! The customer service person I spoke with absolutely had no clue they even had a sub box called The Spotlight! Talk about dropping the ball!
Yeah, I don’t think the waitlist works anymore. Here’s what I know: They are going to make a few changes to the box (I don’t know what those are yet) and will be changing the name from The Spotlight to something else (no idea what that is either). From what I can tell this was a really limited initial trial and everyone who ended up getting in was sent them for free. *Hopefully* once they make all these changes they will e-mail everyone on the waitlist. I will try to find out some more!
