Mission Cute October 2015 Subscription Box

MissionCute, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this month’s partner is Karam Foundation) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

The Box

MissionCute ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me.  Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month you will receive that month’s box.  If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.

I always love seeing what MissionCute includes in their boxes.  I got a huge stack of boxes in the mail today, but MissionCute is the one I opened up first.

The Information Card

It doesn’t say it on the card like it usually does, but the October 2015 non-profit partner is Karam Foundation.  They are on a mission to build a better future for Syria though providing aid that matters.  Here is what the box included:

~Simplicity Fair Trade Paper Bead Necklace by LOT2545 ($10): I have mentioned it many times in the past, but I love paper bead jewelry.  I am just so fascinated with the process that goes into making it!  I really like that this one has just a handful of beads.  I think it draws your eyes to them more.

~Silver Bangle by DazzleBar ($12): I like this bracelet, but I don’t love it.  It’s stretchy so it’ll fit any wrist, but I am not totally into the pattern.

~Spicy Apple Candle by Rosy Rings ($8.50): Love this candle!  The website describes it as “Crisp Macintosh apple mingles with a spicy blend of cardamom seed, ground nutmeg, fresh cinnamon and clove bud. Sweet tonka bean, vanilla extract and forest balsam softly chime in.”.  And I would agree with that.  It’s like a spicy apple pie!

~Sugar Scrub by Sonny & Dew ($5.50): Not a very fall-like scent, but it is made me feel like I was at the beach, so that’s nice.  It’s not harsh at all which I love too.

~Jaipur Purse Mirror by Wooster & Prince ($5.95): This mirror not only has a great pattern, but it also has a great message on it.

~Warm Hugs Print – MissionCute Exclusive ($9): I love getting prints from MissionCute.  This one is very simple, but probably one of my favorites they have sent.

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.95 for the October 2015 MissionCute.  I wouldn’t say this was my favorite MissionCute box, but it was filled with cute stuff as promised.
