First Look
Second First Look

This was a fantastic first look.  Not too many “new” (to me) items popped out, but I did see a lot of old favorites.

Inside

The October 2015 Orange Glad theme was “Let the Adventure Begin” and included the following items:

~Bella Sophia Baking Company Cranberry Almond Biscotti: I have to be in the mood for biscotti and I just wasn’t when I tried this.  It’s not like a chocolate chip cookie which I am always in the mood for.  LOL!  It was crunchy, but not hard and I could taste the almonds and cranberries in it as well.

~A Couple of Squares Maple Pecan Shortbread: This was 100x better than expected.  I thought it would be like maple syrup, but instead it tasted more like shortbread and less like maple.  Even the pecans were good in this.

~Salem Baking Co. Pumpkin Spice Cookies: Salem Baking Co. makes some of the best flavored cookies. These are thin and crispy and have spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves in them.  They would be fantastic with coffee or with a slice of cheese on them.  I know that sounds weird (pumpkin and cheese), but trust me, it’s not.

~Cheryl’s Fall Harvest Buttercream Cookies: If yo have never tried Cheryl’s cookies do your self a favor and order some.  I swear, they are the most fantastic mail order cookies ever.  I don’t get it, but they taste like they just came out of the oven.  They are soft and the frosting has the perfect amount of sweetness to it.  I love them.  And WB tried one for the first time ever and was more than a fan.

~Rip Van Wafel Honey & Oats: The information card says that the box includes a Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Wafel, but I received a Honey & Oats one.  Frankly I feel a little cheated because I think a dark chocolate sea salt Rip van Wafel would be insane.  I do love their wafels though so this one will be delicious too I am sure.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on Orange Glad, but I was pretty happy with this box.  I always mention it, but it’s not a “value” subscription.  This box isn’t going to save you a ton of money or get you a lot of product for the cost.  It’s more of a fun box that allows you to try and experience new treats!
