Target Beauty Box October 2015 Subscription Box

My latest Target Beauty Box arrived yesterday and I was thrilled to open it up.  This Target Beauty Box was $10 (they vary between $5 – $10) and was available through Target’s website for a limited time only. The “hello, Beautiful” box was released on October 19th and sold out in about 24 hours. They used to sell out in just a few hours, so they must be stocking higher quantities of these. I am not sure if there is any set schedule on when they release boxes, but they offered them in April, June, July, August, September and two times (different boxes) in October of this year.  And, according to the Target website, the next one is “coming soon”.  These are NOT subscription boxes and must be purchased individually as they are released.

The Box

Target Beauty Box ships via USPS and arrived less than a week after I ordered it. I never got a shipping notice on this one – it just appeared.

I knew what was coming in this box (Target always announces the contents of the box in advance), but I was beyond thrilled to open it up and see it all in person!

The Information Card

The “hello, BeautifulTarget Beauty Box included the following Target favorites inspired by the cooling temps outside:

~Goody Ouchless Silicone Lined Elastics: Goody makes my favorite hair ties ever.  They are inexpensive, super sturdy and don’t get my hair all snagged.  Because they are so inexpensive I don’t feel the least bit badly if (when) I lose them.

~Covergirl Intensify Me Eyeliner 200 (Full-Size) ($6.99): I ended up not opening this up because I knew I wouldn’t use it and I didn’t want it to get all dried up before I could get it to a friend. It’s a liquid liner and is said to dry quickly and glide on smoothly.

~Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick (Fashionista) (Full-Size) ($8.59): I believe a variety of shades were sent out, but I am thrilled with the one I received.  It’s a deep red with a hint of shimmer.  It has orange undertones to it and is very fall-like.

~RoC Deep Wrinkle Night Cream ($20.49): This cream works to hydrate skin cells and help to reduce the appearance of expression lines and deep wrinkles.  I (obviously) couldn’t tell a difference after using it just a few times, but I am going to use it nightly from now on.  I haven’t found an eye specific night cream, I love so maybe this will be it?

~ACURE Moroccan Argan Oil + Stem Cell Triple Repair ShampooConditioner (1fl.oz each) ($2.50): I love the entire ACURE line and I love that Target now carries it.  I think I have tried all of their different shampoo types, but the repairing one is the one I need most. It provides moisture for even the driest most damaged hair and leaves it soft and manageable.

~Skinfix Ultra Rich Body Butter (1oz) ($2.25): This is a new product to me.  It’s super rich and made with all natural ingredients.  I am going to end up getting the full-size of this for B because it’s awesome.  It’s not scented and soaks right into your skin making it feel instantly softer.

~Hello Toothpaste (Supermint) (0.75oz) ($0.67): We have purchased a few products from the “hello” brand before, but I think it’s only been mouthwash.  Never toothpaste.  After trying this though I think I will be purchasing it in the future.  They have a bunch of fun flavors and it’s all dye-free and sugar-free.

~OLLY Beauty Vitamins and S.W. Basics Certified Organic Body Scrub: I have always been curious about OLLY vitamins and was thrilled to see them in here. S.W. Basics (it used to be called Sprout) has long been a favorite of mine and I love that Target now carries the line.  My local stores don’t have it yet, but you can get the stuff online and some stores do carry it.  If you haven’t tried them, I totally recommend it.

The “hello, Favorites” Target Beauty Box was by far my favorite box from them. With the exception of the eyeliner I will use every single thing in it.  I am super excited about some of the brands in here (OLLY, S.W. Basics, hello & ACURE) and really hope to see more of these in future beauty boxes. Oh, I should also mention that this box includes a $3 off $15 your next Target (or Target.com) beauty purchase.  It expires on 11.29.15, so you’ve got plenty of time to use it.

As I mentioned this box is now sold out, but I will post as soon as Target releases the next Beauty Box!  And, just in case you missed my post yesterday, I am giving away this exact box, so make sure you go enter!

I haven’t been getting the target boxes because I had so much stuff! But this one looked really good so I ordered and I can’t wait to get it! I’ll probably use everything except for the eyeliner.

  2. Maura

Hhhmm… Wasn’t there supposed to be a mascara in this box? Or did I make that up?

    1. Jennifer

I thought the same thing! I wonder if the original description was wrong and then changed?

  3. Wendyinca

I counted the items in the target listing (11) but they said the box would have 10 items… Hmm.

  4. Jessica

That’s disappointing. I’m always in the lookout for a new natural mascara.

  5. Jayne

They also said ROC eye cream but it seems you got face cream.

(Isn’t that ROC the one some of us got in the Walmart box?)

    1. Jennifer

You are right. The picture for the Beauty Box shows the cream I received, but the description on the Target site is for the eye stuff??

If I see one more review where someone says a hair product left their hair “soft and manageble,” I’m going to toss my cookies. Honestly, does anyone even know what this means? Sounds like hair care product commercial brainwashing to me.

    1. Jennifer

Sorry! I take it to mean soft, but not so soft that you can’t do anything with it. Like after I get a haircut at a salon my hair is just over the top soft and I can’t do anything with it!

I love that oh so fresh feeling also
when my hair is soft & manageable.

I got my box in today and I am SOOOO pleased with this one! Can’t wait to test some of these products out.

  8. Sarah

I loved this box! I found out it was on sale from you, so thanks! The Target site said that there would also be mascara, along with the Eye Cream. We didn’t get the mascara or the face cream. I actually contacted Target.com chat to ask about it and they ended up refunding me $2 for the “missing mascara.” I don’t think it was ever meant to be in the box, but was a mess-up on the site. Regardless, I thought that was rather nice of them. This was my first ever Target Beauty Box and I’m looking forward to the next! I think they hit the nail on the head by offering a variety of products, not necessarily just hair products or curly products, etc. I hope they keep up with that!

    1. Jennifer

That is good to know! I should contact them. I don’t think it was ever meant to be in the box either. *Maybe* they hoped they could get it in the box, but then couldn’t and just forgot to take it out of the description?
