Treatsie October 2015 Subscription Box

Treatsie is a couture candy of the month club that delivers individually sourced confections from all over the world to your mailbox.

The Box

Treatsie ships via USPS during the second half of the month. They have a shipping calendar on their website which you can check to find exact shipment dates for future months.

Second First Look

I noticed right away that this box didn’t have a featured vendor this month. Treatsie usually sends three products from the same maker and then mixes up the other two.  This month though it looked like everything was coming from different makers.

The Information Card

The October 2015 Treatsie box including the following gourmet upgrades of your favorite trick-or-treat sweets:

~Cocoa Dolce Dark Chocolate Caramel Pecan Bar: I love the caramel (although I could have used more caramel) and the chocolate in here, but I could do without the almonds. The chocolate was rich and satisfying but I would get a different flavor next time.

~Colts Chocolates Milk Chocolate Bolt: I had so many questions about this one, but the main one was why is old school Vanna White on this chocolate? Turns out it is not Vanna White, but instead is Mackenzie Colt, president of Colt’s Chocolates.  That makes much more sense.  This is basically a giant peanut butter cup, but with almonds in it.  Again I could do without the almonds, but the chocolate and peanut butter in here were amazing.

~Le Bon Garcon Spiced Cider Caramels: I got more of a caramel taste than a cider taste from these, but I loved them.  They are a nice twist on your normal caramels and I thought they were very fall like.

~Torrie & Howard Chewie Fruties: The smell you get when you open this package is intense.  It’s SO much citrus.  For real.  These are chewy (softer than Starburst) and WB and I were both fans.

~Zingerman’s Candy Milk Chocolatey Karamel Krunch Bar: To me this seemed like a crunchy, chocolate covered version of a caramel rice crispy treat. Needless to say it’s absolutely delicious.  Like it’s insanely yummy.  OMG.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but like I say every month, it’s not a “value” subscription. You won’t be saving any money on this box, but you will get to try a ton of fun treats!

If you are interested in subscribing to Treatsie you can use the coupon code “HOF028VDE3” to save $10 off your first month, making it just $9.95!
