True Drool, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for the dogs. It’s designed for the “over 40 crowd”, over 40 pounds that is! Boxes contain 4-7 toy/treat items for your large active breed dog to wag, wiggle and drool over.
True Drool ships via USPS around the 15th of the month. If you order by the 5th of the month your box will ship that month. If you order after the 5th, your box will ship the following month.
Since True Drool is for larger dogs (mine are little) I usually end up giving most of the items in it to my brother (and his big dogs). They just happened to come over last weekend and were thrilled to get the goodies! Here is what was inside:
~Fruitables Pumpkin & Blueberry Dog Treats ($4.79): For some reason I didn’t take a picture of these. These Fruitables are small and chewy and are great for training purposes. My dogs are huge fans of these!
~Jolly Pets Jolly Tuff Treader ($9.40): This is a heavy, sturdy toy! I don’t even know that my dogs could pick it up. LOL! It’s supposed to help clean teeth while your dog chews on it as well which is a huge plus.
~One Dog Organic Bakery Grain Free Pumpkin Spice Treats (~$10): These have already been opened and enjoyed by Jersey (one of my brother’s dogs). She thinks coming to our house is like going on vacation because we always have fun treats and toys for her to play with. She happily gobbled these right up.
~SPA Paw & Pad Lavish Paw Treatment ($9.09): I don’t think I have ever seen a wash just for paws. It’s supposed to leave your dogs paws rejuvenated and refreshed. You put it on for about three minutes, let it soak in and then rinse.
~Animalgrams by White Orchid Graphics ($3.99): I love this! I don’t think we have ever received a hard in a True Drool box, but I love it and think it’s a great change of pace from the normal treats and toys.
All totaled I came up with a value of $37.7 for the October 2015 True Drool box. That’s just around the cost of the box, but I also used online prices (not retail prices) and didn’t take into account shipping or the time it takes to go to the store.
