FabKids November 2015 Subscription Box

For the first time in ages I decided to order a FabKids outfit. I have a handful of credits from forgetting to skip months (so bad) so I opted to pick up a variety of items and used up two credits doing so. I didn’t get an complete outfits – instead I got just pieces that work for us.

If you aren’t familiar FabKids, which is part of the JustFab / Fabletics family, is a monthly kids clothing subscription service.  Each month you are given the opportunity to select an outfit (all of which are $29.95) for your child that was curated based on your style preferences.  You are free to choose one of the outfits selected for you, any of the other outfits available or you may “Skip” by the 5th of the month and you will not be charged for that month.

The Package

FabKids ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes under a week to arrive.

First Look

Everything from FabKids arrives in sealed plastic bags – sort of how you’d receive a package from The GAP or Old Navy.

As I mentioned I didn’t select an outfit and instead opted for the following pieces:

~Stripe Henley Tee ($19.95 / $28): I love this shirt!  It’s totally something I would pick out for my boys and WB looks absolutely adorable in it.  I got him the XS or a 3 and I found it to be true to size.  It’s roomy on WB, but he’s tiny so I expected that.

~Striped Hooded Top ($16.95 / $28): I have a thing for hooded shirts – for me and for the boys. I loved this as soon as I saw it!  I will say though that this was SO hard to get on.  I don’t think WB has an oversized head, but I really struggled to get this on him.  He was fairly annoyed by it too.  LOL!  Once on it fit better, but I would say it runs on the small side.

~Pop Art Sock 4-Pack (2 Sets) ($2 / $12 each set): I actually opted for two sets of these socks.  For $2 for a set of four I don’t see how you can go wrong.  WB refused to try them on, but he hates all socks so I expected that.  He’ll wear them though!

~Blue Camo Rain Boots ($24.95/ $34): Rain Boots are one of the items that I couldn’t save of L’s.  Kids are tough on rain boots!  WB is obsessed with these and has already worn them a few times. They fit well and he loves that he can pull them on and off himself.  I thought they were sturdy and comparable to the ones you see at Nordstrom for double the price.

I used two FabKids credits (which cost $59.90) and received clothes with a value of $65.85.  And that’s using FabKids member pricing.  I don’t always love the outfits they put together, but the separates work out well for us!

Do you subscribe to FabKids?  Have you been happy with the pieces you’ve received?  If you are interested in signing up, new customers can get their first outfit for only $15!  It’s a great way to test them out and see what you think of the quality of the pieces in person.
