ManlyGram November 2015 Subscription Box Review
ManlyGram November 2015 Subscription Box

ManlyGram bills itself as as your own personal shopping service for men. Their Manscription delivers a monthly assortment of delicious man approved sauces, spices, meats, condiments and more.

The Box

ManlyGram ships via USPS.  They are a relatively new box, but I believe the are related in some way to Taste Trunk which has been around for a while.

First Look

lI was quite impressed by the first look!  This was my first ever ManlyGram and with them being new I didn’t know what to expect.  But everything was beautifully packaged and the inside of the box had such a cool print on it.

The Information Card

The November 2015 ManlyGram theme was “Beer Goggles” and included the following:

~Boujie Baking Co. Scotch Porter Beer Kissed Caramel Sauce ($7): This is certainly different than your standard caramel topping, but in a good way.  It contains only Pure cane sugar, Sweet cream butter, Heavy cream, Mad River Brewing Steelhead Scotch Porter, Cream of tartar and Sea salt.  That’s it.  I didn’t find the porter to be too overwhelming but you could totally taste it.

~Anette’s Chocolates Beer Brittle ($6): I am normally not too huge of a brittle fan, but beer brittle is really good.  It’s crunchy, but not hard and the beer taste is a nice addition to the peanuts.

~Boujie Baking Co. Chipotle Citrus Black Ale ($5): Now these I didn’t love.  My popcorn tastes might be too basic for this?  It’s made from non-GMO popcorn, along with pure cane sugar, black ale, orange extract, chipotle powder, sea salt, cream of tartar and non-GMO canola oil.  I  think it was just too spicy.

~Boujie Baking Co. Black & Tan Icebox Cookies (~$6.50): These cookies are a mix of stout and pale ale.  I had a boyfriend who used to like to drink Black and Tans, but I was never a fan.  These cookies however, are a different story! They are filling and satisfying and a nice twist on cookies.

~Boujie Baking Co. Chocolate Stout Chocolate Caramel Sauce ($7): I think I like the chocolate stout better than the scotch porter caramel sauce.  It just tasted like a more natural combination to me?  This on some vanilla ice cream with some sea salt sprinkled on top would be amazing!

~Wine Country Kitchens Amber Beer Mustard ($6.99): As you know I am not a fan of mustard, but I believe B is hosting poker night in December so I think I will have him put this out for the boys to try!

All totaled I came up with a value of $38.49 for the “Beer Goggles” themed ManlyGram. Not a spectacular value when compared to the cost of the box by any means, but I did think it was a fun box.  Plus, you’d have to pay shipping on these individual items if you purchased them directly from the manufactures website.  Still I would love to see the value a little higher in this one.
