The Information Card

The November 2015 Olfactif theme was “Layered” and included the following scents:

~1826 Histories de Parfum: This one was strong. Maybe too strong actually?  I was SUPER strong at first, but it did settle in nicely.  I don’t think it’s a day to day scent for me though.  I found it to be more of a special occasion – when you want to make a statement scent. Notes on this one include bergamot, tangerine, white flowers, violet, cinnamon, ginger, patchouli, amber, incense, blond woods, white musk, and vanilla.

1826 Histories de Parfum

~La Fin Du Monde Etat Libre d’Orange: I am not sure I have ever smelled anything like this.  I couldn’t pick out a single note in it, but I really liked it.  It smelled almost sweet to me at first, but settled into something deeper.  A very unique scent. Notes on this one include popcorn, carrot seed, cumin, sesame, black pepper, freesia, vetiver, sandalwood, ambrette seed, iris, styrax, and gunpowder.

~Trayee Neela Vermeire Creations: I would love this as a candle, but as a perfume it was just too much.  I smelled a lot of vetiver in it and thought it was fairly grassy crisp scent. Notes on this one include blue ginger from Madagascar, elemi oil, cinnamon bark, ganja effects, blackcurrant absolute, Sambac jasmine absolute, Egyptian jasmine absolute, cardamom absolute, clove, saffron, sandalwood, Javanese vetiver, Haitian vetiver, incense, Mysore sandalwood oil, patchouli, myrrh, vanilla, cedar, amber notes, oud palao from Laos, and oakmoss.

I have never tried ant of these scents before and I had a great time testing them all out.  Olfactif does a great job of sending scents I would never know of otherwise and I love that.
