SnackSack October 2015 Subscription Box

SnackSack delivers better tasting, originality, and higher nutritional value, in the form of a subscription snack box, once a month. Boxes include a mixture of snacks that are organic or all-natural, non-GMO, vegan, fair-trade, or gluten-free.

The Box

SnackSack ships around the 15th of the month.  If you sign up by the 1st of the month you will receive a box that month, otherwise your subscription will begin the following month.

First Look

SnackSack packages all of their items in a burlap sack each month.  This month they included some Halloween “things” which I thought was extra cute.

The Information Card

The October 2015 SnackSack included the following items:

~Taos Mountain Toasted Coconut Bar: I didn’t find the coconut in this gluten-free, non-GMO bar to be overwhelming which I was happy about.  It was more “toasted” than coconut I thought.  I don’t think if I would grab it again, but it was all right.

~Jackson’s Honest Sweet Potato Chips: I don’t know why sweet potato chips aren’t more mainstream.  Because they are SO good. These are non-GMO and are made with coconut oil, so they are a better alternative to your regular potato chips.

~Skout Organic Black Pepper BBQ Raw Pumpkin Seeds: We never got around to cooking our pumpkin seeds this year, so this is the next best thing!  These were smaller than “normal” pumpkin seeds, but still tasty and flavorful.

~RawRev Raw Chocolate Glo Bar: Raw Rev Glo Bars are Gluten-Free and non-GMO.  They aren’t my favorite bars, but they are growing on me.

~Smart Pants Vitamin Gummies, Glee Gum Gum Lollipops & Torie & Howard Hard Candy: I love every single one of these treats!  The Smart Pants vitamins are pretty much the perfect vitamin, Torie & Howard hard candy is amazing and glee gum lollipops are awesome.  I don’t like the gum part of the lollipops, but that’s just because I don’t like gum.

~YumBitz Soft Baked Cookies: I tried these and thought they were fantastic (they are super soft and delicious) and then a few days later I happened to hear about them on my local news and thought, wait, I just had those.  Turns out they are made locally and each time a pouch is purchased, 10% of the proceeds go to a community organization to help combat child hunger in the metro Detroit area.  I absolutely love the cookies and this cause and will be a fan forever!

~Surf Sweets Spooky Spiders: Surf Sweets are made with no artificial colors and flavors and are delicious.  We’ve tried a bunch of their varieties and have loved them all. If your kids like fruit snacks try these for sure.

~Live Love Pop Lime Fresco Popcorn: I have been on a popcorn kick lately and loved this. It has just three ingredients and there are only 35 calories per cup!

~Goodie Girl Midnight Brownie Cookies: Goodie Girl Cookies are Gluten-Free and Peanut-Free and have 120 calories per pack. You would never know any of this unless you read the package though because they tasted incredible.  They seem so rich that it’s hard to believe you get the entire bag for just over 100 calories.

~Kind Maple Pumpkin Seeds Bar: I haven’t tried this one yet, but I have tried lots of KIND bars over the years.  Some I like better than others, but they are gluten-free, non-GMO and are always very filling.

The longer I get SnackSack, the bigger of a fan I become.  They pack a ton of snacks in their boxes I think it’s a great deal.  We received 12 different items this month which worked out to be about $2 per snack.  Not bad at all!
