~Good evening! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Did anyone go out shopping on Black Friday? We went to Target the day after to take advantage of the $50 off $100 coupon for holiday decorations and that place was a mess! It wasn’t overly crowded, but you could tell it had been. LOL! I didn’t hit up too many of the Black Friday deals online, but I did snag a blanket from Bespoke Post (and got the free Black Box), grabbed the TODAY POPSUGAR Must Have Box and of course used the amazing 30% off Birchbox code!

~I posted about it on Instagram about 1000 times, we (aka B and my brother) but got the living room wood floor done!  For those of you who asked we used an engineered hardwood from Home Depot called “Wire Brushed Oak Coffee“.  I couldn’t be happier with how it turned it.  I think we saved about 50% doing it ourselves and somehow we had a little measuring snafu (that was all B) and ended up ordering too much so we’ll have enough to do my office!  We were going to do it if the living room went well anyway, so now we don’t even have to order it.  I’m thinking that will be a Christmas break project.  Oh and B said it was easy to do and the issues were mainly with first few pieces and the last few pieces. We didn’t use quarter round molding which *probably* would have made made the end easier to do, but also would have been more expensive.  And honest more work.

~Uhh, is anyone else as excited about the 2-hour 90 Day Fiance on tonight?  I can’t think of a better way to end my weekend, except for winning the lotto anyway.  This is a close second though ;).  Also, if you don’t already, make sure to read the recaps at “Slow News Day“.

~I will be updating the “Black Friday” tab and changing all the deals over to “Cyber Monday” deals in the next few hours.  There are still tons of Black Friday deals that are still available and lots of Cyber Monday deals are coming tomorrow.

~An old friend of mine has just launched a new company called “BANDS for BROTHERHOOD“. They make genuine leather or nylon wrist bands in support of our military and first responders.  The bands are handmade by combat veterans (my friend was a special ops Marine) and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Semper Fi Fund.  He’s a totally good guy so make sure to check them out!

~I saw this pop-up in my Facebook feed today and thought it was pretty useful.  I am super guilty of using apostrophes when I don’t need too.  I will be keeping this handy when I do Christmas cards this year.

I needed this.
I needed this.

That’s it from here.  I hope you are having a great Sunday night!!!

My married name ends in an ‘s’ and it always looks SO weird when I use ‘es’… The Battleses.
    Just. Plain. Weird.
I can’t get over it, so usually I just write out “The Battles Family,” even though our family consist of just me and my husband.

I did not go to target this TG, and I missed it 🙁 I promise I will go next year and do not listen my conscience ?.
I was looking for gifts for my kids teachers and i saw the starbucks free refill tumbler (for january), it is nice but just for brewed coffee, so I am not sure I will get it, did you see it?

I did! I think the tumbler itself is my favorite one they have ever done for the refill ones. You can sometimes buy them after Christmas at Target for 50% (*or more) off! That’s really the only time I buy them though. Although that wouldn’t do you any good since it’s after Christmas!!

Thanks for sharing info on Bands of Brotherhood. My dad is a Vietnam War vet and this will make a great Christmas gift for him.
