Two questions today…

1. What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Are you doing any traveling? We always go to my Aunt & Uncle’s for Thanksgiving dinner. B will sometimes run the Turkey Trot downtown in the morning or will go to the Lions game, but I don’t think any of that is happening this year. Maybe we’ll make gingerbread houses in the morning? Very un-Thanksgiving like, but the kids have been bugging me about it for weeks already! Our dinner isn’t until later in the day so we’d have plenty of time!

2. Are you going out shopping on Black Friday? I am in the fence. We were planning on doing our floors, but considering they aren’t even in yet, that might not be happening. So why not go shopping? I do need to get some things for the raffle baskets at L’s spring carnival at school (I chair it) so I may be out doing some deal hunting! And I do want to take advantage of Target’s $50 off when you spend $100 on Holiday Decorations deal!

I host Thanksgiving, because our house is the best suited for it. This will be the third year, and is the first time I am not a ball of stress.

I really want some of the Sephora deals. Anyone know when they become available online?

    1. Traveling home to our parents, in-laws on Thursday, mine on Friday… as well as duck hunting (my husband), football playoff game in Dallas, and possibly going to watch a friend’s concert. It will be super busy.
    2. I may take a shot at a Walmart and Bealls in a town near my parent’s – the last couple years it’s been super nice and quick to get in and out of with no crazies! The town it pretty small, so it gets overlooked with all the hardcore shoppers.

    2. I can’t decide if I should get the Roomba deal (for me, from husband for Christmas). It’s model 771, reg. 629, on sale for 389, 15% off means final at $351 (incl. tax) PLUS $90 in Kohl’s credit. Hmmmm…
    I sure hate vacuuming.

I will probably just do cyber Monday. Sadly, two of my cousins can’t come to Thanksgiving because they are WORKING!

Whoops, somehow this sent. One starts at 2pm and one starts are 3pm. Crazy… Someone posted on my FB feed about how doctors, police officers and firefighters work on Thanksgiving and no one complains but I feel like that’s sort of necessary, you know? Not sure why someone needs to go shopping at JCPenney at 3pm on Thanksgiving Day.

I waitressed at a country club in college and was always working holidays. The members always used to tell us “I hope you get to your home to your family soon”. LOL! If I wasn’t serving you drinks at 1am on Christmas Eve, I could go home. But really it wasn’t too bad and paid great! Us younger ones (aka ones with no kids) would stay late so the moms and dads could get home!!

That’s a nice way to look at it 🙂 I guess in the case of my cousins they are working the holiday so others can escape their families! LOL!

Thanksgiving is my family holiday. We always spend it with my family and Christmas with my boyfriend’s family. I did the bulk of the cooking last year and it sounds like my sister is up for it this year. I hope not though, her cooking is bland and kind of terrible. I make the best mashed potatoes so I will be making those ahead tomorrow before work. I need to go grocery shopping tonight but I barely got any sleep last night and feel awful.

No shopping black friday. My company is always closed thanksgiving, our ceo gave us black Friday off f too and my manager gave me the whole weekend off so we might go snow camping. If not, I might check amazon and other online deals.
