Yuzen Winter 2015 Subscription Box Review
Yuzen Winter 2015 Subscription Box

Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box but switched to quarterly a while back.  I like the quarterly format of this box better than monthly.

First Look

Yuzen ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just two business days to arrive.  I like that they use Priority Mail and I LOVE that they ship ahead of the season so you can get prepared.

Unboxed

I say it every time I do a Yuzen review, but I am always impressed by the packaging on their boxes.  Everything is always so beautifully packaged with gorgeous prints and colors.

The Winter 2015 Yuzen box included the following items:

~21 Drops “Sleep” Essential Oils Blend (3mL / .10fl.oz) ($8.33): I had the worst time sleeping last night and I regret not trying this!  You use on your temples, neck and wrist and it is supposed to quiet your mind, help you feel relaxed, dimes anxiousness and achieve restful sleep. I will be keeping this on my nightstand going forward.

21 Drops “Sleep” Essential Oils Blend

~Black Dahlia Nail Lacquer (Full-Size) ($6): So pretty!  I have received Black Dahlia polishes before and have always been happy.  They are vegan and 5-free and have a fantastic formula.

Black Dahlia Nail Lacquer

~co | pur Facial Scrub + Mask (1.3oz) ($24): This contains French Green Clay, Grapefruit Peel Powder and Camomile Powder.  To use you just add some to your hand and then mix with water to turn into a paste.  Of course you could also use yogurt or another base as well.  Does anyone exfoliate daily?  I think I may start trying this!

~Kimberly Parry Organics Sweet Orange & Cranberry Scrub (2oz): This scrub is organic and smells amazing! You can see the cranberries in it.  I really liked the consistency of this one and thought it was scrubby without being harsh or irritating.

~Level Naturals Organic Menthol + Cucumber Shower Bomb ($4): Level Naturals shower bombs are the bomb!  For real. They pop up in subscription boxes from time to time and I can never get enough.  Put them on the floor of your shower and it’s being at the spa.  A spa that clears out your sinuses!  I love it.

~Salus Organic Lotion Bar (Lemongrass) (1oz) ($7.75): I believe this came in a variety of scents, but I love the Lemongrass.  It’s fresh and clean and just fabulous.  Lotion bars react to the heat from your skin, so they maintain their hardness until you apply it.  And then you can easily rub it into your skin.

Salus Organic Lotion Bar

~Sanitas Skincare Oil Free Moisturizer ($9): I haven’t gotten a chance to test this yet, but it “hydrates skin while balancing excess sebum production to prevent blemishes and breakouts.” It’s also  Paraben-Free and Oil-Free.

Sanitas Skincare Oil Free Moisturizer

~The Tea Room Chocolate Company Dark Organic Chocolate Bar with Infused Green Earl Grey Tea ($3.75): I may not like drinking tea, but chocolate with tea in it? I like that! It’s organic dark chocolate and is made from 60% Cacao.  It’s rich and delicious!

According to Yuzen, the Winter box has a value of $67.  Not including the scrub because I can’t find a price on that, I came up with a value of $62.83.  If anything I think Yuzen’s value is a little under the actual value of box!  I thought this was a fantastic box from them and I think it’s one of my favorite’s they have ever sent out!
