This box was heavy and packed full of stuff!
The December 2015 Fantasy and Sci-Fi Box included the following items:
~Ascenders – C.L. Gaber ($11.99): The Ascenders is described by USA Today as a book that will keep you up all night reading. I included the price for this book from Amazon, but we received the SIGNED edition, which I really don’t know how to value. I am not a huge fan of Sci-Fi / Fantasy books, but I am really intrigued by this description:
Walker Callaghan doesn’t know what happened to her. One minute she was living her teenage life in suburban Chicago…and the next minute, she was in a strange place and in a brand new school with absolutely no homework, no rules, and no consequences. Walker Callaghan, 17, is dead. She doesn’t go to heaven or hell. She lands at The Academy, a middle realm where teenagers have one thing in common: They were the morning announcement at their high schools because they died young.
~Unforgiven – Lauren Kate ($14.68): From Amazon:
Cam knows what it’s like to be haunted. He’s spent more time in Hell than any angel ever should. And his freshest Hell is high school, where Lilith, the girl he can’t stop loving, is serving out a punishment for his crimes.
Cam made a bet with Lucifer: he has fifteen days to convince the only girl who really matters to him to love him again. If he succeeds, Lilith will be allowed back into the world, and they can live their lives together. But if he fails . . . there’s a special place in Hell just for him.
Unforgiven is also sounding super interesting to me! Maybe I do like Sci-Fi / Fantasy books after all? I wish I had a chance to read this, but with the holidays there is just no way I was able to get through two books, plus shop and wrap and bake and everything else.
~Extra Goodies: The box also included an Unforgiven drawstring bag, a guitar keychain, a silver cuff and two bookmarks. All of the items relate to Unforgiven (except for the Ascenders bookmark of course) and the information gives you details on how they all tie in!
I didn’t think it was fair to do a cost breakdown on this box because of the signed book, but I really liked their picks and can’t wait to get started on these! I actually thought I would end up giving these books away because I wouldn’t be interested in them at all, but that was so not the case!
