Hammock Pack December 2015 Subscription Box Review - "Happy Holidays"
Hammock Pack December 2015 Subscription Box Review – “Happy Holidays”

Hammock Pack is a monthly surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much needed getaway without even leaving your home. Boxes are geared towards women and each month you will receive a pack filled with a mix of food, bath products, housewares, and accessories that you’d only find if you visited that month’s destination city.

The Box

Hammock Pack ships via USPS Priority Mail and is supposed to ship around the 25th of the month. They must ship in batches because some people get their boxes before mine even shipped.

I hadn’t heard Hammock Pack announce a destination for this month and when I opened it up I realized why.  They didn’t have a destination!

The Information Card

The December 2015 Hammock Pack theme was “Happy Holidays” and included the following items:

~Paddywax The Holiday Happy Candle (Peppermint Vanilla) (3.5oz) ($11): I was really hoping that the candle would be the same as the box, but it was just plain white.  According to the box, the scent is Peppermint Vanilla, but I never would have been able to guess that on my own.  It’s a very light scent, but I like it.  It’s a soy wax candle hands poured in the US!

~Cocoa Sante, LC NorEaster Hot Cocoa (~$6): I love that they included hot cocoa in here.  It’s made by two moms who were looking for a healthy drink with balanced nutrients to fuel their children’s growth.  So not only is this all-natural, it’s also delicious!

~Egg Press Happy Winter Card ($4.50): The information card suggests sending this out in December but not only is December almost over, it’s also the month I (and probably everyone else) get the most mail. I think this would be better sent out in January when post holiday blues kick in.

~Chuao Chocolatier Holiday Chocopods ($2.50): I love these!  They are absolutely delicious and they only have 60 calories each.  Bars are handcrafted with ethically sourced cacao and all natural ingredients and come in a bunch of great flavors.

~Five Islands Body Co. Shea Honey Body Lotion (Bright Lavender) (8fl.oz.) ($9.95): This lotion has a great lavender scent and is super moisturizing.  Products are made in Maine are and as natural as possible. It’s not too heavy, but it’s super moisturizing and feels so nice on my dry winter skin.

All totaled I came up with a value of $33.95 for the December 2015 Hammock Pack. I think was very fun that they did sort of a themed “favorites” box and love their picks!

What do you think of Hammock Pack?  What city / state would you like to see them do next?
