I always consider it a good sign when all of the items won’t fit in the box ;).
I hunted down spoilers for this box so I knew what was coming, but I was super anxious to see what variations I received.
The December 2015 Little Lace Box theme inspired by The Little Prince was “It’s only with the heart…” and included the following items to help you smile and reflect on the beauty inside of you, and the beauty of the ones you love in your world:
~Kristin Pearce Designs Large Pearl Pendent ($45): This pearl necklace represents the desert where the Little Prince and the narrator were stranded. When you wear it use it as a reminder that that desert we all travel through from time to time is temporary and when we look within our hearts we will find the beauty around us and within, allowing us to move forward. The necklace is gorgeous and I love how simple it is. My chain arrived tangled, but it’s not the first tangled necklace I have received in a subscription box and it certainly won’t be the last.
~Passport to Beauty Tigetan Goji Berry Eye Serum ($88): The Little Prince was a traveler / explorer, so Little Lace Box decided to do some exploring in other countries for this box. This eye serum is rich in essential vitamins and minerals and lifts, tightens and firms fine lines and wrinkles. I can’t wait to start using it nightly and see what it does for me!
~PRE de PROVENCE Lumiere Fragrant Candle (Verbena) ($14.99): Subscribers received this in either Lavender or Verbena. I would have been okay with either, but I did really want the Verbena. It smells incredible and the mercury glass holder is incredible. It was selected to represent the Lamplighters character in The Little Prince and his positive impact in his world.
~Shiraleah Wool Blend Fingerless Gloves ($15): This is another nod to The Lamplighters in The Little Prince. They typically wore fingerless gloves in the story. Subscribers received either Ivory, Grey, Blue, Red it Black. I was kind of hoping for red, but black would have been my second choice so I am happy. I still can’t say that I fully understand fingerless gloves, but I’ll use them.
~French Decorative 4×6 Frame ($10): We don’t get a ton of picture frames in subscription boxes so I am always thrilled when we do! And this one is gorgeous. According to the information card there were two styles sent out – both in a soft pale grey. I would almost call it a smokey cream? The Little Prince asks the narrator to draw him a picture the very first time they meet and you can use this to frame your artwork or whatever else.
~Luggage tag by R. Nichols ($6): Little Lace Box included this in the box so you could explore the world just like The Little Prince and St. Exupery explored their worlds. W (my three year-old) saw this and was thrilled by it, so I think it’s going to have to go on his suitcase on our next trip.
~Bonus: Travel Peppermint Candle (4oz): The box also included a bonus candle with an illustration by Victoria Novak. Two of the Little Prince’s most cherished friends where the Fox and the Rose, which are both represented on this candle.
All totaled I came up with a value of $182.99 for the December 2015 Little Lace Box. I absolutely loved this box and thought it was everything Little Lace Box represents. It fit with the theme and they included lots of smaller artists and brands I wasn’t familiar with. It was a great month from them!
Little Lace Box also included a blurb on the February 2016 theme! The theme is “Love Letters” and will be “curated with love and contain fabulous finds for you and your home”. They also noted that the box will arrive by Valentine’s Day which has me extra excited!
