Olfactif is a monthly perfume subscription box. Each month subscribers receive some of the finest and hardest-to-find perfume samples from niche artists around the world. Samples are contained in 2.25mL glass vials and each vial has enough for 15 – 20 wearings. In addition, you will receive an $18 credit to put toward a full bottle of a featured scent, every month.
Olfactif ships via USPS around the 1st of the month. If your first purchase is before the 15th of the month they will ship out your collection immediately. Otherwise your first box will ship around the 1st of the following month.
The December 2015 Olfactif theme was “Smoldering” and included the following scents:
~Scent Intense by Costume National: Scent Intense is INTENSE! Notes include amber, woods, jasmine tea, and mother of pearl hibiscus. And AMBER. LOL! It’s too strong for my tastes, but if you are looking to make a statement, look no further!
~Otis & Me by Jazmin Sarai: Notes on this one include black pepper, bergamot, cardamom absolute, Turkish rose absolute, incense, and coffee grains. This is another strong scent, but I like it better than the first. It has a bit of a smokey scent to it and I like that.
~Laudano Nero by Tiziana Terenzi: Laudano has notes of wormwood, cognac, rosemary, tobacco, myrtle, amber, red rose, black locust honey, cedar, iris, sandalwood, ash, slate, cashmere, laurel, incense, camphor, oud, vetiver, musk, oak, vanilla, and labdanum. It seems like there is a bit of everything in this one! It’s my favorite of the trio, but I do think I would like it better in a candle.
Overall this wasn’t my favorite Olfactif month. I think it was just too strong for me, but I did have fun trying it!
