Yay!  The first of my three POPSUGAR Special Edition boxes arrived today! If you aren’t familiar with them, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!

They also offer special edition boxes on a seasonal basis and, for the first time ever, they partnered up with NBC’s TODAY to create a special box to help you survive the holidays. According to the description, this holiday survival kit is the ultimate collection of everything you need to help make the season stress-free, relaxing, and fun, so you can enjoy more time with the people you love.  All of the rejuvenating products and gifts in this box were hand-selected by TODAY hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb and POPSUGAR Editor in Chief Lisa Sugar .

The POPSUGAR TODAY Must Have Box shipped via FedEx Smart Post out of New York and took about a week to arrive.

POPSUGAR (and the Today Show) revealed four of the items in this box when it went on sale, but the remaining four were a surprise.  Unlike most of their special edition boxes, the items in here were not individually wrapped.  They actually seemed like they’d gotten a bit tossed around in shipping to tell you the truth.

The POPSUGAR TODAY Must Have Box included the following items:

~Barr-Co. Fir And Grapefruit Bubble Elixir ($32): It doesn’t specifically say it, but I believe this elixir is intended as a bubble bath.  It smells incredible (think a woodsy grapefruit) and since I don’t take a lot of baths I am going to use it as a shower gel. It’s vegan and made without parabens, sulfates or petrochemicals.

~Ciate x Olivia PalermoLondon: The Cheekbone Cheat Blusher Bronzer Duo ($32):  The tin that the blush / bronzer duo is in was actually loose from the compact and totally needs to be reglued.  That’s an easy fix though!  Ignoring that, the packaging on this alone would make me want to buy it. Isn’t it gorgeous?  What a beautiful item to have in your bag. It’s a bronzer and blush in one and the colors are very flattering.  It’s formulated with bamboo extract to help control oil which makes me happy.

~Govino: Go Anywhere Wine Glasses ($22.95): We’ve actually gotten Govino from POPSUGAR a few times. The shorter ones like these first appeared WAY back in August 2012 and then we received a taller skinner version of them in December 2013.  They are plastic, but like the fanciest, clearest plastic you could think of.  They are super lightweight and have these little indents in them to help you hold them better.  They are dishwasher safe too!

~Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($22): Oribe makes the best hair products!  I love their dry shampoo (which I sometimes just use for texture) and their actual texturizing spray is great too.  It smells amazing and helps my stick straight flat hair a ton.

~EYES by ToGoSpa ($12.50): I love my EYES!  I first discovered EYES in the January 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box and I have been a fan ever since.  They are little gel treatments that go under your eyes and leave you refreshed and ready to go.  They help with puffiness and are a life saver for tired eyes.  Try these the morning after your next holiday party ;).

~Found Goods Market Candle ($23.50): This candle is gorgeous!  I like the little cup it comes in and the scent itself is great.  The card says that scents may vary, but I received the “Cinnamon Beignet” scent which totally perfect for the holidays.  I couldn’t be happier with this.

~Knot & Bow Parcel Tags ($4): POPSUGAR sent out Knot & Bow parcel tags (blue ones) in their December 2014 Must Have Box.  They come in handy to have around and I like to use them on gift tags – mainly so people can reuse the gift bag ;).

~Jacobsen Salt Co. Salty Caramels ($3.50): Yes please!  SPOILER ALERT – I know a lot of people were upset there wasn’t a snack in the Holiday for Her box, but there’s one in here!  And an absolutely delicious one at that!  POPSUGAR could out salted caramels in their boxes every month and I’d never get tired of it – ever.  Also, did everyone get two little packs (4 caramels in each) or was it just my lucky day?

All totaled I came up with a value of $152.45 for the POPSUGAR TODAY Must Have Box.  That’s double the cost of the box and right in line with what they promised.  This box may not have been overly exciting (lots of repeat POPSUGAR box brands and / or products), but it was solid.  And I am completely happy with it.  It was well rounded and I feel like it would make a fantastic gift.  You could even break the items up and keep some for yourself and use others as stocking stuffers or hostess gifts.
