Two questions today..
1. Have you finished (started) your Holiday shopping? I have not finished. I have sort of started in my head and have a general idea what I am getting everyone, but I am going to save the actual shopping it all until the last minute like I normally do. It’s just more fun that way. More fun now anyway ;).
2. Does Santa wrap presents in your house? He does at our house (including stocking stuffers), but I am always amazed that he doesn’t do it at everyone’s house. It’s silly, but I feel like it makes Christmas morning last longer. Although, I do see the appeal of not wrapping gifts. Obviously the time Santa saves by not wrapping which is amazing.
I think I ask these same yesterday every year, but I love hearing everyone’s different traditions!
Santa always wraps presents in paper with Santa on it. Presents from mom and dad are wrapped in different paper. Stocking stuffers are not wrapped.
my parents would do the same thing ! and my dad would write in a different hand writing on the tags form santa , lol but when i was around 16 , they stopped doing it probably younger but either way i was upset they stopped and I’m 23 now and still am mad haha !
I have some shopping left to do but not too much. I have always wrapped santa gifts even stocking stuffers, like you my thought is that it makes the excitement last a bit longer.
Santa absolutely wraps presents! I actually have never even heard of him not before, but that does save time! Stocking stuffers aren’t wrapped though.
Almost done… all that’s left are coworker presents, booze for my husband’s family, some colored pencils, and a few items I’m waiting to be mailed to me. That’s a record for me, everything is usually last minute!
For once, I’m just about done shopping.. and wrapping!
And here, Santa only fills stockings, so he has time to wrap most of the stuff that he brings, in special sparkly “MOMMY HATES THIS KIND” foil wrapping paper.
I was finished shopping for the kids in August this year thanks to awesome clearance at Target and deals on Amazon. Woot!
Santa only brings one gift per kid (and they have to look handmade, because I’m a sucker for authenticity). He puts them in each kid’s felt Santa bag. That way I don’t have to worry about being sneaky with paper or labeling or whatever. I wrap all the rest of the gifts, including stocking stuffers.
Been crazy this year, so we’ve barely begun the shopping. My boyfriend has two girls and I’ve no children, so this will be my first year working with Santa gifts. He will be buying their gifts from Santa as well as the ones from us online (toy animals and dress up clothing), and I’ll be picking up a the things for the stockings at the store. Planning to wrap the gifts, but not the stocking items. Going to get them bubble bath, candy, eye-shadow and lip-gloss for the stockings. They’re young (6 and 3) but they love playing dress up. We just have to make sure to wipe off the sparkly purple uni-brows once they finish putting it on as they’ve not yet mastered putting the shadow just on their eyes, lol.
We have most of the shopping done. A few we have no idea what to get so those will be last minute. I still need to get my husband something “additional” to his main present.
My Mom always put something under the tree for me from Santa up until when she passed away three years ago. I continue that tradition, meaning, there is always a present under the tree from Santa to me. She always made sure there was a cookbook under the tree. So every year I buy the one cookbook I know I want, wrap it from Santa and open it Christmas Day. Keeps her with me, and I admit, means there will never be a Christmas without a cookbook.
I like that tradition!!!!!!!
Did you order the POPSUGAR for Her box? I suspect you will be the first to get it and I am dying for some spoilers!
1. almost done-
2. Santa wrapped one kidlets in one paper and the other in in another paper and so on x4 kidlets Santa was special writing because mine was horrible even now with the kidlets 18, 21, 25 & 25 and 28 all gifts will get wrapped. Seems as they get older the boxes get smaller – will be decorating later this week because we had wait until the last pre-Christmas birthday….
I’m pretty good on my list and just waiting for lots of orders to come in.
Santa does not wrap at my house but he only brings the stocking and a couple gifts and mom&dad bring all the rest of the gifts so those are wrapped. 🙂 It makes thing easier to hide if they are wrapped I can just put under the tree and it still takes all morning to unwrap the wrapped gifts. We come down and do stockings and santa gifts and the boys play with those while I do breakfast and then we get into the wrapped stuff.
We wrap santa gifts for the most part. However , there is usually one big gift that we have to put together the night before and that one is not wrapped. Like a play kitchen/ doll house or bike.
stocking stuffers are not wrapped.
I’m almost done! I’m usually done by Thanksgiving but procrastinated. I only have my parents left and I seriously might just get them gift cards to their favorite restaurants and maybe Home Depot too. Well, I’m done buying- still waiting for a couple things to get in the mail.
Growing up, Santa didn’t wrap presents. As an adult, my boyfriend’s parents wrap everything and some of them are from Santa.
Ok this is a late response but I just figured something new out…my kids are teenagers, they know things ;)…throughout the years sometimes Santa wrapped, sometimes he didn’t. We never had an elf, they were too old before that caught on. Here’s my point…I now have a 2 yr old and next year I figure we’ll get a visit from an elf so I figure he’ll/she’ll probably wrap them, not in a neat “department store way” either…picture elves drunk on eggnog wrapping things in whatever they can get to cooperate as wrapping paper. I think that would be fun especially since I’m the meticulous “department store” wrapping type.
