Wantable Makeup December 2015 Subscription Box Review
Wantable Makeup December 2015 Subscription Box

Wantable offers five different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness, style and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. They recently switched things up a little and now allow you to return a just portion of your box if you want!  Wantable now lists “Your Price” on the information card along with the Retail Price so you can easily determine the amount of credit you will receive if you opt to return items.  If you end up keeping your entire box, a credit of $4 will be posted to your account – making your next box $36.

The Box

Wantable ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.  Wantable (typically) ships at the same time each month based on when you originally subscribed.  So if you subscribed at the end of the month, your box will always ship at the end of the month.

Second First Look

I actually skipped Wantable Makeup last month (it’s super easy to do- you just click skip in your account) because I was getting a little (a lot) overloaded on makeup.  The first look this month had me very excited though!

Preferences

Like I mentioned before (and like I do every month), you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing.  Eyeliner is my only dislike and that seems to be working out well.

The Information Card

My December 2015 Wantable Makeup Box contained the following items:

~Model Co Ultra Shine Lip Gloss – Rosie (Retail Price: $16, Your Price: $7.31): This looks straight up hot pink in the tube, but when it’s on it’s much more of a sheer pink.  It’s super glossy and shiny, but not sticky at all.  I didn’t think the lasting power was anything to write home about, but its’ worth it. Plus it’s got that handy mirror on so you can apply it whenever / wherever (well almost)!

~29 Cosmetics Medium / Dark Cream Foundation (Retail Price: $43, Your Price: $19.66): This is super dark for me right now, but once self-tanner season hits it will work better.  The formula itself is great, but I use it as more of a touch up foundation than an all over foundation. This would go on the spots that needed it with a thin layer of BB cream over that.

~Ella+Mila Nail Polish (Bang Bang) (Retail Price: $10.50, Your Price: $4.80): Obviously I love this!  It’s a cross between a violet and a burgundy and is shimmery and glittery and perfect. Ella+Mila polishes are vegan, cruelty-free and certified by PETA.  And they also have adorable packaging too.

~Tini Beauty Eye Cordial Frothe (Retail Price: $19, Your Price: $8.23): I saw the cracking through the tube on this one and thought it was going to be awful.  Much to my surprise, it was not!  Not at all.  It’s described as a cream shadow tint + base so it can be used alone or under a shadow.

All totaled I came up with a value of $87.50 for my December 2015 Wantable box.  I feel like I got a great box this month and will be keeping all of my items. I am thinking of doing this one every other month and the Wantable Intimates box the other months.

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup, accessories, intimates, fitness or the new style edit) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?
