I never know exactly what Awesome Pack is going to send in their boxes, but I do know that it will be fresh, unique and fun!
Our December 2015 Awesome Pack included the following items:
~Activity Book: All Awesome Pack‘s include an activity book with puzzles, a journal to write about all the fun you have been having and more fun activities to do.
~Gloobz ($23.10): I don’t even know how to describe this game. There are little monster looking guys, paint cans and a boss. You stick them all in the middle of the table and based on what you see in the card that’s flipped, you either grab “more” or “less” of what’s shown. It sounds confusing, but it’s really not. It’s a quick competitive game and can get pretty loud too!
~Hot Wheels 3-in-1 Mega Blocks (~$5): L (my 7 year-old) builds it and W (my 3 year-old) plays with it. W is obsessed with cars and absolutely cannot get enough of them. And L likes to build things, so this is perfect!
~Amazing Spheres ($4.51): We’ve been pretty busy with the holidays and then school starting back up so we haven’t gotten around to testing these yet. The little beads absorb water and grow to the size of a marble / grape. You can play with them and then after a while (according to the internet it will be a few weeks) they will shrink back down to their original size. The can be reused too.
~Transformers Blind Packs (~$10): I put these in the boys stockings for Christmas and meant to take a picture of what they received, but wouldn’t you know, I totally forgot. And I now have zero idea where these guys are. It’s fair to say that these are totally something we would buy on our own so they were a great addition to this box.
~Hands Up!: I have heard of the game before! I don’t know how Awesome Pack does it, but they do such a great job of including relatively unknown, but still fun, games. This is another fast paced game and involves matching of shapes / patterns. It’s a little too quick for W, but L is into it.
~Magic in a Minute (~$2): Magic in a Minute is a blind bag with magic tricks! I actually haven’t given this to L yet (I need to prepare myself for non-stop magic tricks), but I am thinking it will be a good Valentine’s Day item/
~Dumbo Book: Of everything in this box, I am most excited about Dumbo. I have been trying to get the boys to rent Dumbo from the library and they keep denying me. Maybe this book will inspire them to want to see the movie, otherwise I am just going to rent it and watch it without them.
I couldn’t do a full cost breakdown on this box, but as usual it was a fun box of games and toys. It really is a good box for a family and they do an incredible job of selecting items you don’t already have. You complete a full questionnaire about games you already own, your preferences, etc and they select items for you from that.
