Bramble Box January 2016

Bramble Box provides creative play kits containing dramatic play materials and activities. Educational and fun, Bramble Boxes promote free play. Every box contains all the materials you need and a little inspiration – all you have to add is imagination. Boxes are designed for children age 3 – 8, but could be enjoyed by a variety of ages of children over age 3. Since the activities are open ended, kids can use them in a way that best suits their play level.

First Look

My 3 year-old helped me open this one and said it made him “hungry”.

The Information Card

The January 2016 Bramble Box Props theme was “Pizzeria” and included the following activities:

~Felt Pizza, Toppings & Cardboard Bases: This reminds me of the Melissa and Doug pizza kit!  All of the toppings can be removed and reused so you can make pizzas however you want.  The cardboard bases can be used as trays to serve your pizza, a plate or as your pizza base (aka the crust).  If you choose, you can even cut the pizzas in half or into slices.

~Menu & Order Forms, Play Money & Cloth Napkin: The box also included Pizza Parlor Order Forms, a Pizza Parlor Menu, Money (you gotta pay for your pizza somehow) and a checkered napkin.  I spent many summers in college waitressing and folding napkins for fancy weddings so I tested some of my old skills on this napkin ;).  The order forms are reusable (on one side anyway) if you use a dry erase marker or even a crayon.  My boys both love to take orders for food and prepare it for you so I love that they included menus and order forms in the box.
