Friday’s Letters

Disclosure: If you make a purchase through the links posted below, I may receive a small compensation. Read the full disclosure.

Dear W, Watching you swim cracks me up. I don’t know if you will ever move up to the next level, but you sure are having fun.

Dear Gap, I will never understand how you do your shipments, but getting 6 packages for one order is kind of fun.

Dear My Car, How do you get so dirty? I swear I try and keep you clean, but it’s a losing battle.

Dear Coffee, Why aren’t you as good at home as you are at Starbucks or Bigby’s?

Dear L, You are lucky that your teacher doesn’t give you homework every night. Once a week isn’t bad kid, I swear.

Dear Teen Mom, Will I ever be able to quit you? Ever?

Dear Previously TV Forums, How did I just discover you? I don’t love you quite as much as I used to love TWOP, but at least I have found some other reality TV junkies.

Dear Giant Snowstorm, Come to Michigan! Our snow is all icky and gross and we need some fresh stuff. Plus, the kids would go crazy for 2 feet of snow!

Dear B, We miss you!  See you next week!

Dear Target Soulcycle Sweatpants, You are the most comfortable sweats ever.  Ever.  I am amazed at how soft you are.  I doubt you’ll ever go on clearance, but I will find you if you do.

did you order the Soul Cycle sweatpants online? What’s so great about them? I don’t need another pair of sweatpants for $50 but if they’re the bomb, I just might be tempted!

    1. Jennifer

I did order them online. They are just SO soft on the inside. They are lightweight and not heavy like I was expecting and the inside is just SO soft!!!

My step son who is in the 3rd grade has meltdowns over his 3 page packet of homework he gets every Friday and he thinks its just soooo unfair! It would take him only about 20 minutes to do if he just did it, but instead it takes him like 4 hours because he complains so much!

I am cracking up. This is so true. My son had some homework to finish last night and it took him forever. I was like if you actually read the directions it would take way less time. Way less.

Our giant snowstorm is coming tonight and I can’t wait! I love snow! Already meal planning crockpot chili and cornbread! Getting ready to head out..hope the shelved aren’t empty! Lol!

I am so jealous!!!!!!! Make sure you grab a ton of bread, milk and eggs. LOL! That’s always what’s gone during snowstorms here. So odd!!!!

Thank you for the heads up on the sweatpants! I’m scooping a pair up as I type!

I’m in Atlanta and we’re preparing for one inch of snow/sleet and everyone is freaking out. Schools are closed early. Winter weather advisories are out. I’m sure all of y’all up north are laughing at us!

    1. Jennifer

I remember that time you guys got like 1/2 inch or whatever of snow and it was a complete disaster down there. Better safe than sorry this time I guess!!!

      1. Amber

Yes, that was a nightmare. It took me 8 hours to get home!

        1. Ragan

It took me 10 minutes to get home that day and then I sat there and watched the local news with all the people stuck in cars on 75 north.

I moved since that day, and it will take me longer than 10 minutes to get home, but the roads were dead today and it is still 37 degrees out. Nothing to worry about (yet). But I am supposed to go to a funeral tomorrow and I don’t know if I’ll be able to get up my driveway, which is basically a 45 degree incline…

I’m from Buffalo, NY, and we definitely laugh at the southern states preparing for the snow and only getting a little bit and freaking out over it. And southern states laugh at the northern states for getting a lot of snow. It’s all good.

      1. Amber

        I laugh at us too!

I drove home from ATL yesterday to avoid the snowstorm 🙂 i would love it if snowed here, but down by the gulf all we get is rain.

All of Texas shuts down if we get the tiniest bit of sleet, people think they need chains on their tires, you don’t dare leave the house if you don’t have a 4×4 or truck. It is absolute madness. That being said, when we were younger we would go play in the sleet because we didn’t know what real snow was. We also went “sledding” down the street… a piece plywood pulled by a four wheeler and a rope. Real safe stuff. Enjoy your snow!

I’m in the Washington DC area, and we’re prepping for “an historic storm.” You can have it. I hate the snow. I hate being stuck, shoveling out, moving your car, and then having to shovel out AGAIN because someone didn’t clear their spot and then they come back and take yours.

    Ugh. PLEASE take the storm!

I think here in Atlanta, the sprawl and everyone leaving at once is the real problem.

I know what you mean about coffee at home ugh. My french press works wonders if I take the time to use it!

I am planing to take one of the soul cycle clases coming to Houston, I already like Cycling here at Lifetime, so it will be good to compare, just compare I read the classes are really expensive at soul cycle, I think they are opening one here this year.
I agree with the coffee, you can prepare the same coffee at home and it always taste different, my hubby is big coffee lover and he is always trying better ways to prepare it, here I am the lucky one because I get to try the good ones hehehehe.

I’m from metro Detroit but in DC now. I’m so excited for the snow. First real snow of the year! I’m only worried about losing power…which always happens here!

It feels a bit like home…

You should try Ditch Bros coffee, it’s the bomb and totally took me away from Starbucks lol

Living in south Louisiana I haven’t seen snow in years! I would love a good snow day: 1. To play in it. 2. The entire state would shut down. ??
