First Look

I skipped Orange Glad last month, but was happy to get it again this month.

The Information Card

The January 2016 Orange Glad box theme was “Let the Adventure Begin” and included the following items:

~Tumbador Chocolate Sweet & Salty Bar: I haven’t cracked into this bar yet, but I have had Tumbador chocolates before and they do not disappoint!  This is a combination of milk chocolate, pretzel, peanut, toffee and sea salt.  They are located in Brooklyn and just make amazing chocolates.

~Finally Ginger Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies: I wasn’t over the moon for these.  I’m not a huge fan of ginger in cookies and I wasn’t into the cranberries.  I like my cookies to have chocolate chips ;).

~Silk Shortbread Classic Shortbread Tea Mates:I was surprise these didn’t have a product name on them, but I can look past it because they are incredible.  They are perfectly buttery and soft and just amazing.

~The Art of Caramel Vanilla Bean / Cocoa Nib Popcorn: The Art of Caramel popcorn pops up (see what I did there) in food / snack subscription boxes from time to time and it’s always a treat!  Always.  This one is a combination of vanilla and chocolate and is really really good.  Not too much flavor, but enough!

~The Crispery Crispycakes Cocoa Concoction: OMG, I love CrispyCakes!  I was so excited to see one in here.  I have yet to find a store locally that sells these, so getting them is such a treat. These are the best rice crispy treats ever.  I am going to try and make this last as long as possible, but we’ll see how that goes.  If you have never tried one of these, ORDER some.  For real amazing.

I never do a cost breakdown on boxes like these because I don’t necessarily think it’s a “value” box.  It’s totally more of an experience and a way to try new snacks without getting a full-sized box / bag of them. I thought this was a great month for them and loved trying these goodies!
