Wantable Makeup January 2016 Subscription Box Review
Wantable Makeup January 2016 Subscription Box

Wantable offers five different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness, style and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. They recently switched things up a little and now allow you to return a just portion of your box if you want!  Wantable now lists “Your Price” on the information card along with the Retail Price so you can easily determine the amount of credit you will receive if you opt to return items.  If you end up keeping your entire box, a credit of $4 will be posted to your account – making your next box $36.

The Box

Wantable ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.  Wantable (typically) ships at the same time each month based on when you originally subscribed.  So if you subscribed at the end of the month, your box will always ship at the end of the month.

First Look
Second First Look

I had been planning to get the makeup box bi-monthly, but I forgot to skip this month.  The first look had me super pleased I didn’t skip though!

Preferences

Like I mentioned before (and like I do every month), you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing.  Eyeliner is my only dislike and that seems to be working out well.

The Information Card

My January 2016 Wantable Makeup Box contained the following items:

~Antonym Lola Lash Mascara Black (Full Size) (Retail Price: $23, Your Price: $10.95): This mascara is natural and organic certified by escort greenlife.  It’s actually one of the better organic mascaras I have tried. It didn’t flake and extended my lashes nicely, but didn’t leave them crazy long.  I think it’s a nice everyday mascara.

Antonym Lola Lash Mascara Black

~Seta Powder Brush (Retail Price: $20 ($19 per website), Your Price: $9.52): Pretty sure I love this brush! It’s so pretty and soft.  It can be used for any type of powder makeup application too.

Seta Powder Brush

~Tints and Sass Fabulous Lip & Cheek Stain (10g) (Retail Price: $23 ($15 on Amazon), Your Price: $10.95): I am so excited about this!  It’s similar to Benefit’s Benetint, but with a better price tag.  I like to use this on my cheekbones, but it works for your lips too.

Tints and Sass Fabulous Lip & Cheek Stain

~Mineral Hygienics Radiant Mineral Illuminizer (Full Size) (Retail Price: $18, Your Price: $8.57): This illuminizer gives you a little extra shimmer wherever you need it.  It cools completely natural and doesn’t give you any extra color – just shimmer.  And you can even use your new powder brush for it if you want!

Mineral Hygienics Radiant Mineral Illuminizer

All totaled my January 2016 Wantable Makeup box had a retail value of $84.  I paid $40 ($32 after credits for purchasing previous Wantable boxes) and I was quite pleased with this one.  I am glad I didn’t end up skipping because I think I got a great box.  I am going to switch skincare to a “love” for my next shipment so hopefully I will get some skincare stuff from Wantable.

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup, accessories, intimates, fitness or the new style edit) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?
