This is the Winter 2015 Beautycon BFF box. They had an amazing 50% off deal a few weeks ago that made it basically a no-brainer for me to subscribe. I went with an annual subscription (normally $99 + $6.99 shipping per box), which after the discount worked out to $19.37 (that includes $6.99 in shipping each quarter) per box! Not too shabby!
The Winter 2015 Beautycon BFF box was curated by You Tuber Bethany Mota and included the following items:
~Murad Hydrating Toner (.50oz) ($2.33): Murad’s toner is designed to “replenish lost moisture to refresh skin and prepare it for treatment”. It’s a high-end brand and I am really impressed to see it in here! It’s a quick fix to hydrate your skin and is super refreshing in the warmer months.
~Essie Marshmallow Nail Color (full-size) ($8.50): Marshmallow is a “cloudy sheer white” and is perfect (per Essie) for a french manicure. I don’t use white nail polishes a ton, but sometimes I will do a white accent nail. I have found that it looks much better (and I don’t need as many coats) when I use a matte base coat.
~Maybelline NY The Falsies Push Up Mascara (full-size) ($7.49): I have tried this mascara in the past so I opted not to open this one up and instead pass it along to a friend. I recall that it gave me nice volume, but I did need more than one coat. My goal is really to just have super long (but not too thick) lashes, without an extreme amount of color, which I am not sure is doable?
~Soap & Glory Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream (50mL) ($4): Absolutely love! This is exactly the type of thing I cannot resist picking up in the checkout line at Sephora. These little minis totally get me. Not to mention that Soap & Glory is just a fabulous overall brand. Their hand food is super hydrating and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy. And it’s not crazy expensive either which makes me happy.
~Garnier Fructis Root Amp Lifting Spray Mousse (5oz – full size) ($4.49): This did give my hair a great boost, but I thought it make it a little dry? On the bright side I did think it smelled good and perhaps I am just using too much?
~Disney Minnie Mouse Tattoo Junkee Jewelry Inspired Tattoos ($16): Will I ever wear these? No. Do I think they are adorable? YES! I know there are some other uses for these though so I will do some googling and figure something out!
~Disney Sequin Minnie Mouse Ears (~$10): I can’t find these exact ones online, but I feel like $10 is a fair price. I don’t think I have ever worn mouse ears at Disney, but I have some friends with little girls who would love them.
~NIKE $20 off $50 Gift Card: I don’t know that I will end up using this coupon code (they call it a gift card on the information card, but since you have to spend money to use it, I call it a coupon), but I LOVE this mini Nike box. Seriously, this is so cute!
~Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor (HD Passion) (full-size) ($7.99): This is a serious lip color. It’s very bold and long lasting and I’d describe it as a lip stain. It doesn’t feel like you are wearing anything though. I have been getting more and more into darker lip colors lately, so I am really into this.
~ColourPop Highlighter (full-size) ($8): I have no idea what happened to this, but it was clearly a rough ride ;). This box was such a great deal and I was so pleased with everything else that I didn’t contact them about it. It’s totally usable and will last a lifetime because you only need the smallest amount to get some great shimmer.
~Aeropostale $10 off $50 Gift Card: Again since this requires a purchase to use it, I opted not to attach a value to it.
~Beautycon Gold Digger Notebook (~$10): This is a Beautycon branded notebook so I can’t get an actual price on it. I absolutely love it and am constantly jotting down notes about new subscription boxes so it will be super handy!
All totaled I came up with a value of $78.80 for the Winter 2015 Beautycon BFF box! I was thrilled with this box and think it’s amazing for tweens, teens and beyond!
The Winter Beautycon BFF is now sold out and they are not currently taking any new subscription orders. However, I will post as soon as they open up the Spring memberships!
I got the ColourPop the same way, if you press it down with your fingers, it just contracted due to the cold. Mine looks good as new after that 😀
Interesting! Thank you!!!
