Bonjour Jolie February 2016 Subscription Box Review
The February 2016 Bonjour Jolie theme was “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler” (aka Let the Good Times Roll) and included the following items:

~The Gift – Masquerade Mask Necklace ($9.50): I have never been to Mardi Gras, but I think this neckalce is really cute.  And would be fun to wear to a mascarade ball.

~The Pampering – King Cake Soap ($4): The pampering item this month was the cutest king cake soap.  It was done in the traditional colors of Mardi Gras and is a “sweet vanilla” scent.  It really does smell like a cake. The box also included Advil and wipes, which are standard in every box.

~The Food / Snacks: The snacks in this month’s box were perfectly tied into this month’s theme!  I thought it was all super creative and very well done. ETA: It seems that some (but not all) subscribers (both who commented here and from pictures I located on Instagram) did not receive the same quantity of snacks as I did. It looks like the chips may be missing from some boxes amoung other things. Not a huge difference, but I wanted to make sure to mention it.  It’s possible the timing of when the boxes were sent out may account for these differences.

~The Products: Bonjour Jolie allows you to choose up to 25 pads, tampons and / or liners of your choice.  You can mix and match brands or stick with a full sealed box.  It’s totally up to you to select what’s best for you and your needs.

I didn’t do a full cost breakdown on this box (I never do on Time of the Month boxes), but it’s easy to see that the value is well over the cost.

      I totally agree

  2. victoria

I would have loved if that would have been a bath bomb (that’s what I originally thought it was)

I am referring to the soap! lol

I went to a Mardi Gras parade in Mississippi last month and they threw those Moon Pies at us. So fun!

    1. Kate C

In Mobile, Al we celebrate Mardi Gras big time, Moon Pies are huge giveaways (called throws, as they actually throw them at the crowd form the floats in the parade)

And Aunt Sally’s is seriously the best praline company ever, those are amazing.

I am so excited to see this box, I have to get this now, they were right on with this them, jsut perfect;y captured Mardi Gras!

I got this box too, and think it’s worth pointing out that a little extra care may have gone into the box they sent you to review. The chips were extra, not listed on the card. You also appear to have gotten more Hershey kisses, and in nicer packaging. All my edibles were jammed together in a large bag. None of these differences are that big of a deal to sway subscribing. It just seems a little shady, which I’ve noticed from them in the past, as well.

Thank you! I never would have known! I am going to have to do some Instagram searches to check the differences!

I agree with Kerry. My treats were all together in one bag and I did not get the chips. It also looks like you received two moon pies, where I received one. It’s nothing I’d make a stink about, but it does look like you received a “reviewer” box.

    1. Jennifer

I am so sorry! I never like to get “review” boxes and I am so happy you and Kerry commented. I am going to update with a little blurb. Thanks!

Kerry you are wrong!. Tjhey sent out a one double decker moonpie (which is two moonpies together) or they sent out two Single moon pies. It is the same exact number of pies just packaged differently. Some people got 2 singles and some got the one double.

They did not pad the box, what a terrible thing to say!

Karen V, Kerry wasn’t the one that said anything about the moon pies, that was me. And you’re correct, I went back and checked, I did get a double decker, so I apologize for that mistake. I still didn’t get the chips and fewer kisses. Again, it’s not anything to get worked up over, however it is good to note when boxes are different that are being reviewed than what some people received. I had originally chalked it up to a mistake until I read Kerry’s comment.
