Japan Candy Box October 2015 Subscription Box Review
Japan Candy Box October 2015 Subscription Box

Japan Candy Box is a monthly Japanese candy subscription box, brought to you by Blippo Kawaii Shop. Each box includes 8-10 delicious, special and fun Japanese candies and snacks.

The Box

Japan Candy Box ships at the end of the month.  If you order anytime during the month, your box will ship that month. However, since they ship from Japan, it does take some time (a few weeks) to arrive.

Note: This review is actually for the October 2015 Japan Candy Box. The box ships from Japan and takes a few weeks to arrive.  I delayed my review so I could get some giveaway details worked out with Japan Candy Box. With the holidays and the time difference it took a bit, but we’re all set now!

The Information Card

The October 2015 Japan Candy Box included the following items:

~Meiji Mini Candy Pack: These are Japanese Smarties.  They are candy coated chocolate.  Nothing like the smarties they sell here in the States.  But yummy!

~Lotte Koala March Biscuits: I prefer the chocolate Koala biscuits to the strawberry flavor, but these are still delicious.  Inside is a strawberry filling, and the outer coating is a flakey biscuit.

~Puccho Mango Chewy Candy: Why don’t we have more mango candies here in the States?  We should.  These are creamy and chewy and delicious.

~Coris Whistle Candy: Ahh, whistle candy! My 7-year-old loved the noise they made.  I just really enjoyed the strawberry hard candy.

~Kracie Popin’ Cookin’ DIY Takoyaki Set: Japanese Candy Kits are the best. I don’t understand the appeal of watching someone on YouTube play video games, but I so get watching the candy kit videos.  They are awesome.  The directions for this are in Japanese, which makes it interesting to do.  But it’s fun.  Mine never turn out like the ones on the package, but they are super fun to make.  And the taste?  Well, I don’t know that people buy these for the taste.  Do they?

~Meiji Juice Gummies: These were a huge hit with L.  They really do taste like grapes and are made out of 100% fruit juice.

~Takeda Tamago Boro Egg Cookies: This package is adorable, and they come in strips of seven – one for every day of the week.  I got the “Monday” pack.  I personally didn’t think they tasted like much, but I guess they are popular with little ones in Japan as they melt in your mouth, and you don’t need to bite them.

~Bourbon Petit White Chocolate Stuffed Cookies: These little cookies are fantastic.  They have a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two biscuits.  It was hard not to eat the entire pack.

~Puccho Awawawa Ball Candy: There is a lot going on in these candies!  They have a sour coating, but are fizzy at the same time. The inside is chewy and very flavorful.  I didn’t love them, but I thought they were super interesting to try.

~Pocky Panda Cookie Sticks: I like Pocky sticks as it is, but these Oreo cookie like pocky sticks may be the best ones ever.
