Powered Geek Box January 2016 Subscription Box Review Powered Geek Box (formerly known as PowerUp Box) is a monthly subscription service that includes geeky, gamer, and pop culture gear. The Powered Geek Box team goes around the country searching for the best gear there is to assure an epic box every month, every time. The Premium Box ($39.90/month) includes 6-9 items while the Deluxe Box ($26.90/month) includes 4-6 items and both boxes will include a t-shirt every month. I receive The Premium Box to review.
Powered Geek Box boxes are shipped via USPS between the 22nd and 28th of each month. Powered Geek Box is in the process of revamping their logo/boxes, so some shipments may just arrive in a plain black box this month.
I always love seeing what Powered Geek Box puts in their boxes. They don’t curate around a theme, so you never know what you will receive. The January 2016 Powered Geek Box included the following items:

~Family Guy Stewie Selfie T-Shirt ($9.99): I don’t watch Family Guy on a regular basis, but if I happen to catch it I will watch. And it always cracks me up. B LOVES the show and will so wear this shirt.

~Marvel Pocket POP! Keychain (Daredevil) ($4.49): This is perfect for L’s superhero room!  He has all of his “guys” lined up on his desk and Daredevil will be a great addition.

~Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Donatello Plush Ball ($8.95): Is it just me or is this scary looking?  Eeek!  The kids think it’s a trip though!

~Retro Mustache Kit ($7.97): This is so funny!  The package says “Kissing a man without a moustache is like eating an egg without salt”. Ha!  I must like eggs without salt?

~DC Comics Body Knockers The Joker ($12.99): This guy rocks from side to side when exposed to sunlight.  Kind of creepy, but also fun.

~Batman Speed Opener ($6.99): I was just looking for a bottle opener in the kitchen the other night and couldn’t find one.  I am not sure how that’s possible, but it was.

~Candy: The box also included two packages of candy including “Super Pebble POPS! Popping Candy”!
All totaled I came up with a value of $51.38 for the January 2016 Powered Geek Box.  I liked the mixture of items included but didn’t feel like it had that wow factor some of their boxes do.
