Allure Beauty Box March 2016 Subscription Box Review
The Allure Beauty Box includes five or more deluxe-sized beauty products every month. Boxes are curated by the editors of Allure magazine and include a special-edition “mini magazine” chock full of the most trusted product reviews you’ve come to expect from Allure.

The Allure Beauty Box ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.

As you can see, Allure Beauty Box packs a ton of product into their boxes!

The March 2016 Allure Beauty Box theme was “Talking Dirty” and included the following purification treatments:

~DP Hue ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse) (1oz) ($4.12): I know people swear by apple cider vinegar for their hair, but I have never tried it myself.  This rinse gently removes buildup from hair without stripping away its natural oils. It doesn’t smell good, but it works! My hair was clean and SO shiny! I am not 100% sure how often this is supposed to be used (once ever other week sounds reasonable), but I am adding it to my must-have product list.

~Macadamia Professional Ultra Rich Moisture Cleansing Conditioner (2fl.oz) ($7.58): This is a “cleansing conditioner” and it works to gently remove buildup while softening and defrizzing.  My hair isn’t exactly fine, but it’s not super thick either and that is the type of hair this was designed for.  I think I will pass this along to one of my curly-haired cousins.

~Julep Konjac Cleansing Face Sponge ($12): I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a Julep konjac sponge in this month’s box.  They last for 3-months (although I tend to toss mine sooner) and can be used alone to exfoliate or with your normal cleanser. I use it with my cleanser and love how soft it makes my face feel.  My only issue with this is storage.  How do you store your konjac sponges?

~Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder (1g / 0.035oz) ($4.12): This powder sets your makeup and gives it a matte look.  It looks white, but goes on transulcent. You don’t need a ton of this to work either.  A little goes a long way.

~Nunzio Saviano Anti-Frizz Sheets ($3): I didn’t even know anti-frizz sheets for your existed.  I like the idea of it for those times when you don’t want to use any more products in your hair, but I don’t know if it’s something I would personally go purchase on my own. They do work though.

~Cargo Blush (Catalina) (0.0525oz) ($4.27) / Cargo Bronzer (Medium) (0.0525oz) ($4.91) Duo: Totally love!  It’s a bronzer / blush in one.  Both colors are very wearable and I love that they did a duo and not just one or the other.  This will be a great addition to my overnight / travel bag.

~L’Oreal Pro-Last Lipcolor (Full-Size) ($12.99): The last item in the box was a bonus item from L’Oreal.  It’s a balm and lip color in one. You apply the color and then use the balm to lock it in and leave your lips feeling super moisturized. I am going to look for this at the store and see what the other shades look like in person because I really liked it.
All totaled I came up with a value of $52.99 for the March 2016 Allure Beauty Box. Once again Allure knocked it out of the park.  I absolutely love their boxes and think they do an incredible job for the cost!
