Powered Geek Box February 2016 Subscription Box Review

Powered Geek Box (formerly known as PowerUp Box) is a monthly subscription service that includes geeky, gamer, and pop culture gear. The Powered Geek Box team goes around the country searching for the best gear there is to assure an epic box every month, every time. The Premium Box ($39.90/month) includes 6-9 items while the Deluxe Box ($26.90/month) includes 4-6 items and both boxes will include a t-shirt every month. I receive The Premium Box to review.

owered Geek Box boxes are shipped via USPS between the 22nd and 28th of each month. Powered Geek Box is in the process of revamping their logo/boxes, so some shipments may just arrive in a plain black box this month.

Powered Geek Box doesn’t curate around a theme, so you never know what you will receive. The February 2016 Powered Geek Box included the following items:

~Superman Heart Skeleton T-Shirt ($11.99): This shirt is great!  It’d be amazing if it was in my son’s size, but I will settle for it in my husband’s size.

~Deadpool Body Knockers ($11.99): This is powered by the sun and bobbles and rocks from side to side when exposed to the sun. There is no way my seven year-old is going to see Deadpool, but he does still like Deadpool “stuff” so this will be going in his room.

~Street Fighter “Ken” Pixel Bricks ($10.78): The pieces of this are super small so it’s going to be challenging, but that’s totally fine!  I am going to put it in one of L’s Quiet Time Boxes  for a fun surprise.

~Snap Macro Lens ($5.99): These lens attaches to smart phones and can be used to take high definition close-up photos.  This is actually perfect for me as my iPhone has trouble focusing on jewelry items and other super small things we get in boxes.  Now I can use this and the problem will be solved.

~Marvel Pocket Pop! Keychain ($4.95): We seem to have been getting a lot of these Pocket Pop! Keychains lately and that’s just fine with us!  They are awesome for L’s backpack and what he doesn’t put on there goes on his display in his room.

~DC Comics Zak Batman Thermal ($11.99): This cup is BPA free and is designed to keep drinks warmer longer.  I love it and it’ll work nicely for coffee or as a water bottle for L to take to school.  Anything with a kid that seals well makes for a great water container.

All totaled I came up with a value of $57.69 for the February 2016 Powered Geek Box.  I loved the assortment of items in here really enjoy that they don’t do a theme.
