Box of Style is a seasonal subscription box by Rachel Zoe. It promises to include $300 favorite fashion, beauty and lifestyle items hand-curated by Rachel and The Zoe Report Team. This box launched in Spring 2015, so the spring 2016 box marks their first anniversary.
The Spring 2016 The Box of Style shipped via FedEx Smart Post. It was supposed to ship on March 1st, but mine shipped a few days after that and took about a week to arrive.
All of the items in the box came individually wrapped in tissue paper which made it extra fun to open up.
The Spring 2016 The Box of Style included the following items to take your Spring season to a whole new level of chic:
~Shaffer LA Leather Bucket Bag ($150): The Shaffer LA Leather Bucket Bag is the Box of Style Hero Item and was made exclusively for this box. It has no hardware, so it’s super lightweight to tote around for festival season or wherever you want to take it. I am more of a giant bag kind of girl, so this isn’t something I wouldn’t have picked up on my own. It is, however, a great change of pace from my normal bags and will be hand to have. As you can see below it will comfortably fit your phone (that’s an iPhone 6plus, so it’s big) and other essentials. It doesn’t have a closure so if you are like me, make sure to keep that in mind.
~Jouer Eyeshadow Crayon (Abstract) ($24): Subscribers received one of eight shades. I received Abstract which is a deep smokey grey. It’s creamy and smooth and can be easily blended with your fingers. No need fro a brush!
~Jules Smith Pave Bar and Stone Cuff (silver) ( $45): Subscribers received either a silver cuff or a gold one. I received the silver. Rachel Zoe describes it as a “not-so-heavy metal” and I would agree with that. It should fit just about any size wrist (just open it slowly) and looks great alone or with a stack.
~LSTN Sound Co. Wembley Earbuds ($100): Earbuds are something we seem to receive a lot of in subscription boxes. I have to admit though, these are really nice. They come with three different sizes year buds, so they are comfortable while also being super stylish. Also, proceeds from each pair sold help provide hearing aids to help someone hear for the first time through Starkey Hearing Foundation.
~Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($20): Dry shampoo is one of my must-have products. This stuff has a soft smells and doesn’t leave your hair with any white residue (as long as you apply it far enough away from your scalp). It takes oil and grease out of second-day hair and also gives clean hair a nice boost of texture.
~Hollywood Fashion Secrets Oil Blotting Tissues ($4.99): Blotting papers work wonders when you need to tame the shine, but don’t want to apply any more powder to your face. This package includes 100 sheets, so they should last a while.
~Bonus: The Concentrate Reparative Renewal Oil by La Mer (0.17fl.oz) ($56.10): Yes, this sample really has a value of $56! Amazing right? And it’s considering a “bonus” item in the box. It’s designed to soothe visible irritation and redness caused by cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments. I don’t currently get any of those treatments, but I am still planning on using this nightly. It’s very thick – almost gel like and seemed to leave my skin instantly smoother.
All totaled I came up with a value of $400.09 for the Rachel Zoe Box of Style. That is an incredible value for a $100 box and I was super impressed. Box of Style does not disappoint and I love that they release the “hero item” in advance so you can make a decision on the box based on the highest valued item in it.
