Alpha Outpost April 2016 Subscription Box Review
Alpha Outpost is a subscription box company for men that provides the tools and training you need to take any situation by the jugular. Each month they deliver a curated box of great quality items centered around a different story and theme. Each box is guaranteed to be worth double the value.

Alpha Outpost ships via USPS between the 21st and the 28th of the month.

The April 2016 Alpha Outpost theme was “The BBQ Chill & Grill” and included the following:

~Alpha Outpost Meat Thermometer: Better to be safe than sorry when cooking your streaks – especially if you want them rare.

~Alpha Outpost Santoku & Utility Knives: My husband was so excited to see these knives in here.  They would be awesome to take camping.

~Alpha Outpost Bear Claws: These are used to pull apart your meat before you put sauce on it. I (wrongly) thought these were used to toss salads.  That wouldn’t fit the theme of this box very well, but they’d work!

~Alpha Outpost Koozie x4: The sayings on these cracked me up.  And who doesn’t need koozies when they are out BBQ’ing and Chilling in the summer?

~Johnny Van’s Smokehouse Smokin Hot Rub: This is a blend of paprika brown sugar and dehydrated onion and wasn’t quite as hot as I was expecting.

~Johnny Van’s Smokehouse Smokin Good Rub: This is a paprika-based rub and seems like it’ll be great on any meat – from chicken to steak and even fish.

~Johnny Van’s Smokehouse Island Thyme Rub: Island Thyme Rub will be great on chicken and fish, and I think it will be the spice we use most this summer.

~Alpha Outpost Silicone Baster: We have a basting brush, but it’s getting icky so we will replace it with this one. It’s dishwasher safe too which is key.

~Alpha Outpost Grill Gloves: Grill gloves!  Now this is something we don’t own!  They are basically like potholders for the grill and have cute little hearts on them which I thought was kind of neat for a “manly” box like this.

~Alpha Outpost Peeler: We may already have a peeler, but having a second won’t hurt.  Plus this one is plastic (our other one is metal), and it might be a good one for the kids to use when they want to help in the kitchen.

~Bullet Ice Tray: This probably does down as one of the stranger items I have received in a subscription box, but I’ll use them!

~Alpha Outpost Carpenter Bottle Opener: These types of bottle openers are a little tricky to use at first, but once you get the hang of it you will think they are super cool.

~Alpha Outpost BBQ & Chill Grill Manual: The box also includes a manual with grilling tips, recipes and lots of other goodies.

The majority of items in this box were Alpha Outpost branded so I couldn’t do a price breakdown.  The box did have a ton of very useful items and I thought they did a great job with the theme.
