April 2016 Harvey Prince The Story of Perfume Box Review
The Story of Perfume is a monthly fragrance subscription box from Harvey Prince. Each month you will receive 2 exclusive private blend Harvey Prince perfumes + a handful of samples from their best-selling fragrance, bath, hair, & body lines.

The Story of Perfume ships via USPS on a monthly basis.

The packaging on this box was so well done.  It really felt like a treat opening it up.

The April 2016 The Story of Perfume included the following items:

~Harvey Prince L’Eau Jeunesse (7mL) ($30): L’Eau Jeunesse has notes of tangy French cassis, fresh lemon, ripe pineapple, dewy calla lily, lush jasmine, calming clary sage, soothing sandalwood, creamy vanilla, sweet brown sugar, warm amber and clean musk. That sounds like a lot on paper, but it’s a really pretty scent.  I picked up a lot of the fruity notes along with the vanilla / brown sugar in this one.

~Harvey Prince Parisienne (7mL) ($30): Parisienne has notes of French cassis, fresh apple, dewy jasmine, sensual cashmeran, spicy cedar wood, soothing sandalwood, warm amber and clean musk. This has several of the same notes as the previous roller, but I found it to be deeper and a little sexier.  It’s a nice scent, but it’s not something I could see myself wearing on a daily basis.

~Harvey Prince Madagascar Vanilla (8.8mL) ($31): This vanilla is described as calming, soothing, and luxurious.  I agree with all of that.  This isn’t a baking vanilla scent.  It’s a deep vanilla that will make people wonder who smells so good!

~Harvey Prince Yogini (Sample): Yogini has notes of sandalwood, golden amber, sensual incense, Egyptian myrrh, pink grapefruit, blackcurrant buds, lily of the valley, star jasmine, rose petals, ylang-ylang, cardamom, madagascar vanilla.  I LOVE Yogini!  I first received it in a Yogi Surprise and have been a fan ever since.  It’s a light scent and is ideal for everyday.

~Harvey Prince Signature (Sample): Signature has notes of youthful pink grapefruit, feminine tuberose and jasmine, alluring amber, flirty patchouli, and energizing citrus.  I pick up more of the jasmine, amber and patchouli with this one and less of grapefruit and citrus, so it isn’t a favorite of mine.

~Jor’el Parker Fango Face Mask (30mL / 1fl.oz) ($3.86): I actually just received this mud in this month’s ipsy. I was only able to test it briefly, but I liked what I saw. It left the spot I patch tested noticably softer and smoother.

All totaled I came up with a value of $94.86 for the April 2016 The Story of Perfume by Harvey Prince.  The value was amazing and I loved trying some new Harvey Prince scents.
