Boxwalla boxes (the boxes themselves) are probably one of the most interesting boxes out there. They are made in India from tree-free handmade paper. The boxes are made out of cotton scraps, using the traditional art of paper-making that involves 9 steps and takes several weeks. The handmade paper is then meticulously fashioned into the boxes that the goodies get shipped in. Very cool and I would love to see more on this process.

The April 2016 Boxwalla Beauty box theme was “FACEts of Spring” and included the following items:

~Garden of Wisdom Pineapple / Red Wine Enzyme Gel (1.3oz) ($8.92): This is a mask that is applied after cleanser, but before the rest of our routine. You leave it on for about 15 minutes and it’s designed to remove dead skin and restore the skin’s natural glow.  I really really liked this.  The smell, the way it made my skin feel, everything. It has the consistency of almost a pudding and is packed with Vitamin A and C.

~Garden of Wisdom Blue Mallow Hyaluronic Acid Serum (1oz) ($6.85): This serum is designed to reduce inflammation and protect skin from oxidate damage.  It’s to be used after you cleanse, tone, and exfoliate, but before you apply any oils or creams and glides on super smoothly.

~Wonderland Organics Soothe Serum (15mL) ($39.99): This serum is designed for normal and dry skin types and has an amazing lavender scent.  Because we have been getting so many serums lately (and to really be able to see a difference in my skin I would have to use them for a few weeks straight) I tested this one on my hands.  It left them incredibly soft and smooth and as silly as it may sound, I am going to use this on my hands nightly!

~Garden of Wisdom Healing Lip Balm (.13oz) ($12.85): The price on this seems a little high, but it is pretty amazing. It contains manual honey, moisture retaining ceramics and healing peptides.  Boxwalla suggests using it under lipstick.

~Axiology Natural Lipstick (Noble) (Full-Size) ($28): This is such a cool lipstick.  Instead of just snapping closed this one clicks closed.  It’s probably not the best description, but I feel like this is going to stay closed way better than a normal lipstick.  It’s also all natural, organic and vegan.  I received it in “Noble” which is described as a hybrid peach-pink tone.  It seemed almost orange to me, but it is gorgeous.

All totaled I came up with a value of $96.61 for the April 2016 Boxwalla Beauty Box.  I would have liked to see only one serum in here and maybe a moisturizer instead, but the value was there ad the products were mainly from new to me brands which I always love.
