GlobeIn April 2016 Subscription Box Review - "Spring Clean" + Coupon Code
The GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring GlobeIn‘s favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures.

GlobeIn ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month.  If boxes sell out before the 15th your subscription will begin the following month.

I was so excited to see the new upcycled container in here.

The April 2016 GlobeIn Artisan Box theme was “Spring Clean” and included the following items:

~Hanging Wall Organizer, Peru ($30): This organizer can be used to remove the clutter from the bathroom counter or an overflowing junk drawer.  I am not totally sure how / where I will hang this, but I will figure something out.  It was made in Peru through the ASWAN organization which is dedicated to promoting education, entrepreneurship, and social integration among the disabled of the region.

~Toockies 100% Cotton & Jute Scrubbers (Set of Two), India ($10.99): These scrubbers can be used in the kitchen for dishes or even in the bath for exfoliation and increased circulation.  I am going to use them to clean our mattresses.  I have been wanting to do it for a while and it seems like these would be ideal.  They are machine washable so they can be reused.

~Clean & Fair Multi-Surface Cleaner, Ghana/India (Retail $5):  This cleaner blends palm and coconut oils to create a cleaning product that is biodegradable and hypoallergenic.  It’s non-toxic and so far, I like it just as much as the other cleaners I use.  I normally purchase the Honest Co. cleaners and this is just as good.  And the lemon & lime scent is great!  The palm and coconut oil are sourced from small-scale farming alliances in Ghana and India.

~Kitchen Towel, Turkey ($12): This towel is made from hand-loomed cotton. I would totally purchase something like this on my own and I am was thrilled to see it in here.

~Upcycled Container, Cambodia ($10): This month GlobeIn offered subscribers the choice between the traditional palm leaf basket or this new upcycled container. I have a bunch of the baskets so I was thrilled they changed things up a bit.  These containers are made from local hand-woven silks and recycled materials.  The booklet recommends using it to organize your cleaning products or as an indoor planter (great idea).

All totaled I came up with a value of $67.99 for the April 2016 GlobeIn Artisan Box.  I thought this box had a fun mix of products and I am so excited about the new upcycled containers!
