The May 2016 Beauty Box 5 theme was “Bait Some Beauty, Save A Mermaid” and included the following items:

~Briogeo Rosarco Milk Repairative Leave-In Spray (30mL) ($4): This spray adds smooths and softens your hair, while also adding manageability and moisture. It has UV protection too which is key if you are spending a lot of time outdoors this summer.  My hair has been super tangly lately and this really helped.

~Appeal Cosmetics Luxurious Lipstick in Crush ($29): I am not much of a coral person so this just isn’t for me.  The formula is nice – it’s moisturizing and the color seemed to stay well, but it’s not a flattering shade for me personally.

~Mystic Tan Mocha-Kyssed Bronzer Lotion ($5.83): This can be used daily to build and maintain color. I didn’t even know that Mystic Tan offered a product like this, so I am thrilled.  I have been wanting to go spray tanning, but I haven’t gotten around to it, so this may be the next best thing.

~Glamour Dolls Splash Proof Mascara ($4.99): I am actually not much of a fan of waterproof mascara so I will be passing this one on to a friend. It’s supposed to give you great volume and amazing length.

~Elizabeth Mott You’re So Fine Liquid Liner in Glitterati ($18): Hopefully you can tell from my swatch, but this black liner has a hint of glitter.  Just a hint.  If I liked eyeliner I think I’d like this because I do like the glitter!

The May 2016 Beauty Box 5 hand a value of $61.82.  I was impressed by the value and even though I didn’t love everything in here I still thought the box was great.

I kept the hair product and threw the rest away. BB5 has been the single most wasteful sub box out of the 30+ I’ve tried.

The eye liner is very fine and looks great on!

Should have donated the rest to a women’s shelter, they would have loved it

There are no shelters in my area, and much of what BB5 sends out are rather odd shades. I also won’t pass along anything made in China.
