Irish Taste Club May 2016 Subscription Box Review

Irish Taste Club is a unique way to get the finest Irish gourmet food to you – monthly! Each box will contain 7 – 9 niche products, sourced directly from Ireland’s finest independent producers.

Irish Taste Club ships on a monthly basis. My box was sent to me to review via UPS, but I believe they typically ship via USPS.

This box was super heavy and packed full!

The April 2016 Irish Taste Club included the following items:

~O’Donnells of Tipperary Hand Cooked Crisps: B loved these! He ate them in the car on the way home from up-north yesterday and thought the flavor (Mature Cheese and Onion) was delicious.  If I could find these locally (and I probably can if I look hard enough) I will grab more.

~Cocoa Bean Chocolate Co. Milk Chocolate Rose & Pistachio: This is definitely a different kind of chocolate bar.  I can see either Rose or Pistachion in chocolate, but both was a first for me.  This flavor combo didn’t do it for me.  I like a plain chocolate bar I guess? It was fun to try though.

~Red Rooster Coffee Bantam’s Brew: B just mentioned he was running out of coffee at work, so the tioming couldn’t be better.  Red Rooster Coffee is roasted in small batches in Ireland and contins three different beans from Columbia, Ethopia and Kenya.

~Harnett’s Rapeseed Oil – Blackcurrant Vinagirette: This oil can be used in salads, but works well over grilled fish and veggies as well.  The information card references a blackberry vinaigrette, but we received a blackcurrant one.

~Our Daily Bread Bake it Yourself Irish Soda Bread: We haven’t made this yet, but all you need to do is mix in a bowl with some water and put it in the included foil container and you are done!  We haven’t made this yet (no one has been in the mood for baking lately), but hopefully this weekend.

~O’Neill’s Irish Atlantic Sea Salt Flakes: These aren’t just sea salt flakes, these are sea salt chunks! They are 100% pure and natural and are produced slowly and naturally, retaining over fifty natural trace elements that are essential for your wellbeing.  It’s delicious and we will be cooking with it all summer long.

~Folain Extra Fruit Whiskey Marmalade ($7.99): This contains 100% Natural Ingredients and is gluten-free.  It contains real Irish Whiskey, so the smell is a little different than that of a “normal” orange marmalade. I think it makes it better though.

I couldn’t find prices for a lot of these items online so I was unable to do a full cost breakdown on the box.  All of the items were new to us so it was extra fun to try all these goodies!
