Mostess is a membership service that helps you host beautiful gatherings in your home by sending curated party items and ideas straight to your door. Every other month Mostess sends a box directly to your doorstep. Each box contains 4-6 handpicked and perfectly coordinated items that you can use to host a gathering in your home. Items could include cocktail ingredients, decorative items, snacks, stationery, and more.
Mostess ships via UPS on a bi-monthly basis. Mostess arrived in a larger plain brown cardboard box with this gorgeous box inside. The bow was on perfectly until I pulled it out of the larger box and wrecked it.
The presentation on this one was top notch! I was impressed with this box from the start and couldn’t wait to dig into it.
The information booklet contained product details and tips on how to use everything in the box.
Also included in the box were some drink recipes and other tips for entertaining.
The Spring 2016 Mostess contained the following items.
~TOCCA Stella Candelina ($20): I love TOCCA candles and Stella is my favorite scent. It’s an Italian Blood Orange scent and is incredible. TOCCA candles burn very cleanly and let off a ton of scent for a little candle. They are such a splurge and also make great hostess gifts.
~TOCCA Stella Sapone da Mano ($18): This soap is also the amazing Italian Blood Orange scent. It’s paraben-free and is a great addition to a guest bath. I normally just use Bath & Body Works hand soaps so this feels like such a splurge.
~Cotton Cloud Co. Classic Hand Towel (2 Towels) ($16): These towels are eco-friendly and are made from 100% organic Turkish cotton. You can use them in your bathroom or even as a mini table runner. I usually use them as towels in the guest bathroom, but I do love the idea of using them to wrap your glass pitcher to keep the condensation off.
~Rosanna Farmhouse Pantry Milk Glass Salt Cellars & Spoons ($32.95): Ahh, I was very confused by these at first. They are called salt and pepper cellars, but they are meant to show of “much much more”. You can use them on your breakfast table to display jams and honey or use them for oatmeal toppings like chocolate chips, nuts and berries. They all have gorgeous designs on them and they can totally dress up the table.
~Bonnie’s Jams Peach Ginger ($10): Bonnie’s jams are made from fruits homegrown in USA and were named as one of Oprah’s favorite things in 2013. The information card says it pairs amazing with cheese and that’s what I think I am going to do with it.
~Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Elderflower Tonic ($16): Elderflower Tonic is hand-crafted in small batches in Kentucky and South Carolina. The box includes a few different recipe ideas including The Mostess Spring Spritzer and The Mostess Elderflower Special. B is headed out of town this weekend, but when he gets back we will make one of these drinks.
~Mostess Signature Marble Cheese Boards (~$40): These marble cheese boards were a collaboration with Kalalou. They are SUPER heavy and so well made and come with a cloth storage bag. I did some checking online and came up with an estimated value of $40 on these. I am likely off, but I thought that was a fair value. They will be awesome for parties and can (and will) be used to serve more than just cheese!
All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $152.95 for the Spring 2016 Mostess. I would have liked to see a bit higher value, but I did love the curation!
