Pure Vida Box May 2016 Subscription Box Review
Pura Vida Box is a Costa Rican inspired monthly box of mind, body and soul. Every month, you’ll discover 6-8 delicious Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee, handmade artisan-crafted bath & body essentials, healthy organic snacks & treats, natural handcrafted home goods + more delivered in a beautifully bright pineapple box right to your doorstep!

Pura Vida Box ships via USPS around the 20th -25th of every month.

The packaging alone on this box made me love it from the start!  Pineapples!

The May (and first ever) Pura Vida Box contained the following items:

~Costa Rican Tarrazu ($6.35): This full-bodied coffee has a “bold, rich flavor”.  B already took this to work and I haven’t heard another word about it.  I know it smells amazing though!

~Wild Botanicals Simple Lip Balm ($3.50): This lip balm is all-natural, made from scratch with natural and essential oils to protect and nourish your lips. It’s very moisturizing and doesn’t come off in clumps like some natural lip balms do.

~Pura Vida Natural Pumice Stone: Having a fresh pumice stone is always nice!  They get gross (at least mine do), but they are great for rough spots – like knees, elbows and feet.

~Wild Botanicals Coffee Scrub Soap ($8) & Handcrafted Reclaimed Wood Soap Dish (~$2): This organic coffee scrub soap smells fantastic and while I am not a huge bar soap person, I am all over this.  It’s made from cayenne, coffee grounds, pumice, and activated charcoal and is ideal for exfoliating.  The box also included a reclaimed wood soap dish which aims to extend the life of your soap.

~NibMor Original Daily Dose of Dark Chocolate Squares (~$2): This is your daily dose of dark chocolate.  According to the website, studios show that flavanols found in dark chocolate help maintain vascular health and consuming dark chocolate helps support healthy skin hydration and healthy blood flow to the brain. Who am I to disagree with science?

~Meditation Mala Beads: Traditional mala beads – like these are – contain 108 beads used for keeping count during mantra meditations.  You can find more about how to use them here.

~Earth Meets Water Leaves of Life Candle ($6): Leaves of Life is a combination of Eucalyptus, Sage, Basil, Mint and Aloe.  It smells fresh and all Earth Meets Water candles are made with certified Kosher 100% soybeans that are non-toxic, biodegradable, & environmentally safe.

~Rise Bar Almond Honey Protein Honey: This bar contains three simple ingredients – almonds, honey, whey protein isolate.  It’s non-GMO, soy-free, gluten-free, kosher and grain-free. It was “okay”, but not something I would grab for.

I couldn’t locate prices on everything in this box so I wasn’t able to do a price breakdown.  I liked the selection and felt like the curation was right on for this box.
