~Good morning! This week is creeping by. That’s probably good considering I have a ton to do in the next few weeks, including a bunch of shopping and putting together of items for the Basket Raffle at L’s school.  I feel like I have a good handle on things and have all our vendors secured which is the main thing!  Everything else will fall into place.

~Subscription boxes still coming this week include Mostess Box, POPSUGAR Mini, Fabletics, FabKids, Stitch Fix, Mommy Mailbox, ToGoSpa, and Aster Market. I have a few more that are on their way (Birchbox, EggDrop, Love With Food, BeautyFIX, GlobeIn, Target Beauty Box, etc.), but I dont think they will show up till next week.

~I tried the new Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino from Starbucks yesterday and I’m just okay with it. It was good, but not as good as it sounds. Does that make sense? Try it, but go during Frappuccino happy hour (from 3-5pm through May 15th) so you don’t have to pay full price.

~Don’t forget that if you are ever looking for Subscription Box Spoilers to head over to the Spoilers tab! I don’t always do a separate post for all the spoilers I have heard, but I am constantly updating that tab.

~Has anyone read “Me After You” by JoJo Moyes?  It’s the follow-up to Me Before You, which I LOVED (and is being turned into a movie being released next month).  I doubt it’s as good as the first book (how could it be), but I would love to hear some reviews if you have read it!

That’s it from here!  Have a great weekend.

Spread the love

I haven’t read the books but received an email for an advanced screening for two for “Me Before You” on the 16th in SF, sponsored by Cosmopolitan. I love receiving these emails! Thanks for the review of the new Starbucks drink and when to go, I was wondering how it tasted.

How did you get on that list? That’s awesome!

I read the first one, the second is on my Audible & I’ll be listening to it soon. I’ve heard it’s good, just not as good as the first.
I’m bummed the Frap isn’t as good as it sounds (it sounds awesome). I didn’t know about happy hour- cool! You know both Starbucks and Oreo should send you free coupons for giving us these important updates. I would never know unless I read it here!

I feel the same way about the new frapp. It sounded really good… But it’s almost too sweet! I’m enjoying all these new limited flavors, but wish there was a way to keep some of them around. The caramelized honey one was amazing!!!!

I also loved the caramelized honey! That sold out quickly didn’t it? It did around here! Maybe they will bring it back like they brought the S’more ones back?

I’ve read both books. The second one was a quick, enjoyable read, but you are right, nothing like the first. We did both books for our book club. The first spurred some intense and deep discussions. The second we talked about for a half hour or so and then we were on to other topics. Still a decent read though – and some humorous parts.

I read Me After You and it is a totally different tone of story than the first one. I liked it but it is not the same. Lou’s tone is totally different, as well as her life circumstances, so it makes for a different kind of story.
