The May 2016 Prospurly theme was “Summer Kick Off” and included the following items:

~Nature’s Skin Nutrition Campfire Balm ($6) and Campfire Spray ($12): This balm is ideal for bug bites (or any other source of itch).  The campfire spray is an all-natural way to help keep bugs away.  I am going to pack both of these for our next up-north trip.  We don’t get a ton of mosquitos here (we also don’t have a ton of trees), but there are everywhere up there and I totally noticed it last weekend.

~Nature’s Skin Nutrition Summer Sun Lotion (1.65oz) ($3.47): This lotion smells amazing!  It’s very moisturizing and is a vegan-friendly as well.

~Foxes & Ferns Holistic Bath Tea – Rejuvenation and Relaxation ($15): I couldn’t find a website for Foxes and Ferns, so I used the price on the information card which seems a little high?  To tell you the truth I am not 100% sure how to use these either.  Do I toss them in the bath directly or should I have them in the bag? Its not clear if they are going to absorb into the water?  And since I can’t find a website I can’t look it up ;(. ETA: Thank you Shannon for the heads up on where to find instructions!

~Nature’s Skin Nutrition Organic Matcha Green Tea Under Eye Balm ($13): This under-eye balm soothes, improves circulation and instantly refreshes.  It felt nice on my skin, but I need to remember that this is an under eye balm and NOT a lip balm.  I have almost gotten confused a few times already.

~Salt Works Handpacked Alaea Hawaiian Style Sea Salt ($6.99): Sea salt is always welcome here.  These jars are hand-packed with Hawaiian Sea Salt, which is enriched with the red alae clay from the island of Hawaii.  It can be used on anything from chicken to red meat to fish and we’ll use every bit.

~Three Little Figs Citrus & Smoke Salt Jam ($12.50): The final item in the box was a citrus and smoked salt jam from Three Little Figs. It’s a mix of fresh Cara Cara oranges, Grapefruit, Dried arbor chiles and Red Alderwood Smoked Salt.  I have had it before and it’s delicious.  It’s good on toast and even better in a sandwich!

All totaled I came up with a value of $68.96 for the May 2016 Prospurly.  I couldn’t find a few of the items for sale online so I had to use Prospurly pricing from the information card.  Some of them seemed a little high, but again, I have nothing to compare them against so I can’t be sure.  I haven’t been wowed with their boxes lately so I think I am going to take a break and try a few box for a few months.
