BarkBox July 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Code

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand-selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. All treats included in the boxes are sourced from the USA and Canada, and chews are sourced from the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, so you can be assured that your pet is only getting safe, high-quality items. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an extra toy to your box for an extra $9/month. We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.

BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took just a few days to arrive this month. I generally expect it to arrive on or around the 20th of the month.

BarkBox always does such fun themes!

The July 2016 BarkBox featured the following items from their “World Chompians Collection”:

~Dog Paddling Dave ($10): I thought Dog Paddling Dave was a wrestler, but according to BarkBox he’s a swimmer which would make much more sense.  He has a squeaker inside and crinkles in his arms and legs.

~Sawmill Creek Smokehouse Pig Ear Chew ~($2): We’ve been spoiling Buddy a bit this week, and this will be a great item to continue that.  It’s made in the USA and is 100% pig ear.  It sounds so gross, but dogs love them!

~Busy Buddy Bouncy Bone ($7): The Busy Buddy Bouncy Bone is designed for fetch, but it can just be used for treats too if you want.  Buddy only likes to play fetch in the lake, but he’s happy to eat treats anytime.

~Busy Buddy Chicken Treat Rings ($10): These rings attach to the Bouncy Bone above.  They take a while to chew, so they keep dogs busy for quite a while.

~USA Salmon Snacks ($6): Buddy LOVES these! They are all-natural, made in the USA and gluten-free.  They are soft and chewy and don’t smell too bad either.

All totaled I came up with a value of $35 for the July 2016 BarkBox.  That’s certainly not a high value, but it is more than the cost of the box. BarkBox always picks high-quality items, and they save me a trip to the store.

Do you subscribe to BarkBox?  What’d you think of this month’s box?  If you want to subscribe or learn more, click here. A monthly subscription is $29/month, but if you opt for a longer subscription, the price drops as low as $20/month (that’s what I get)!
