bluum July 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Code

bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand-selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  They now have an option that allows you to select the items you wish to receive in your boxes which I think is awesome. You don’t have to pick, but the option is there if you’d like to. I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription (which is for my 4 year-old son – aka W).

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month. This month’s box arrived later than normal and while they sent out an e-mail about the delay, it didn’t really explain a reason. No matter, it’s here now.

I don’t recall selecting these items, but this box looked pretty good to me.

My July 2016 bluum box, for a 4-year-old boy, included the following items:

~Dandelion 2 Spill Proof Cups ($7.99): These BPA-free cups are made in the USA from recycled milk jugs.  I don’t know where they go, but we are always in need of kids cups around here.  These are supposed to be spill-proof, but I suspect my kids will still be able to spill it ;).

~Super Animals 2000 Stickers ($6.99): This book has not only stickers but puzzles, games and activities as well. It’s going to go in one of our “Quiet Time” boxes!

~Faber-Castell Colored EcoPencils ($4.95): Colored pencils are on my 3rd grader’s school supply list, so that’s one item we have checked off now.  They are made from re-forested wood and are supposed to be break-resistant.

~Dreft Laundry Stain Remover ($1.99): I just received this in June 2016 from bluum so this is a repeat item for me.  It works fine, but I’m not thrilled with getting two of the same items in back to back months, so I am going to shoot them over an e-mail.  I will let you know if / when I hear back.

All totaled my July 2016 bluum had a value of $21.92.  The products were fine, but that is just such a low-value box.  My box last month had an even lower value.  Hopefully the values improve or I can’t justify keeping this subscription.

Did you get bluum this month?  What was in it and what’d you think?   If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here.  And if you are a new customer, you can use the code “GETBLUUM” to get $10 off your first box.
