Bramble Box provides creative play kits containing dramatic play materials and activities. Educational and fun, Bramble Boxes promote free play. Every box contains all the materials you need and a little inspiration – all you have to add is imagination. Boxes are designed for children age 3 – 8, but could be enjoyed by a variety of ages of children over age 3. Since the activities are open ended, kids can use them in a way that best suits their play level.
Bramble Box ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive. If you sign up before midnight on the 4th of the month, they will ship your first crate by the 15th of that month. Otherwise your first box will ship the following month.
My 4-year-old helped me open this one and was excited to dig through everything.
The July 2016 Bramble Box theme was “Eye Doctor” and included the following items:
~Patient Exam Charts, Eye Chart & Prescriptions: Bramble Box doesn’t send you a “set” activity. They provide you with materials and allow you and your child to use them, however, you may choose. W hasn’t gotten into these eye charts yet, but he will before long.
~Eye Glasses: So far this has been W’s favorite activity of the box. The selecting and trying on of the eyeglasses. He needed to try on every single pair and determine which looked best with his coloring. He finally settled on blue being his favorite (and looking the best him).
~Binocular Vision and 3D Images: The box also included 3D glasses and an image of a butterfly to “test” if your eyes are working together as a team. 3D glasses are always a hit around our house. For some reason, W doesn’t love going to see movies in 3D as much as he likes just wearing the glasses for fun around the house.
~Stickers / Eye-Occluder: The box included stickers to help you customize your glasses (so far W has just wanted to decorate his shirt). I used the Eye-Occluder to read the chart and determined that one of my eyes is stronger than the other.
