GLOSSYBOX kindly sent me their July 2016 box to review, and I am so excited to share it! GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door. I have been a subscriber for years (in addition to getting review boxes I also pay for a subscription) and am always in awe of the value they pack into their boxes.
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month. Sometimes it’s the last week of the month; sometimes it’s closer to the beginning of the month.
As usual, the packaging with this month’s GLOSSYBOX was top notch.

My July 2016 GLOSSYBOX included the following items:
~Fango Essenziali Sheet Mask (Moisturize) ($7): From the looks of the information card, all subscribers will receive the “Moisturize” mask. This mask contains a special cocktail of skin-soothing ingredients including avocado, kelp, and acai berry to help restore moisture to even out skin. I have been using quite a few masks lately, so I am going to put this one to the side for a few days.
~Leighton Denny Miracle Mist (75mL) ($16): This is a nail polish drying spray. We never seem to get items like this in subscription boxes, so I am thrilled. I tested it on a nail, and it worked fabulously. Of course, you still can’t be super rough with them (like I wouldn’t try to get a pair of jeans on right away), but they are dry to the touch.
~Eyeko Fat Eye Stick (Satin) ($12): This eye stick is a shimmery brown, almost gray shade. It works for day or night and was really easy to blend in.
~NUXE Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse (3.3oz) ($45 $31.50): This does it all. It can be sprayed in your hair for amazing beach waves, blended into foundation for an added glow or used as a replacement for your everyday body cream. It gives you just the tiniest amount of glow and made me feel like I just left the beach. It’s a dry oil, so you aren’t going to feel slimy or slick from this. The smell is like a honey / almond combo. I am not sure of exactly how to describe it, but I like it. ETA: This oil also appeared in the 2015 Holiday GLOSSYBOX and has a “Happy Holidays” sticker on the side.
~Glov Quick Treat ($5): This is a microfiber makeup remover. You just need to add water, and it takes all your makeup off. The box includes one that fits on your finger, but I believe they also have larger sized ones for sale. You do need to hand-wash this with soap, so that doesn’t excite me all that much.
~Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua (0.16fl.oz) ($8.40): I feel like we’ve received this in GLOSSYBOX before (ETA: This appeared in the March 2016 GLOSSYBOX), but I am not 100% sure. I know it has appeared in other subscription boxes. Melted is a liquid lipstick that gives you the lasting power of a stain + the high shine of a gloss. It’s highly pigmented and super long lasting. I love it!

All totaled the July 2016 GLOSSYBOX had a value of $79.90! That’s almost 4x the cost of the box and to say I loved it would be an understatement. This box was amazing. Such a wide variety of products and so many were full-size.

You’re right. We got the Melted Chihuahua earlier this year. (Although I wouldn’t mind getting it again!)
That’s a nice box but I loved the Nuxe oil. I received the Shave Oil which smells great too.
March 2016 Glossybox had the melted chihuahua, only 5 months ago. Weird.
That was very recent! Also, I noticed that the Nuxe has a “Happy Holidays” sticker on it and realized that it was in the 2015 Holiday Box.

I would love to hear if ANYONE got the Nuxe shimmer oil (not the Holiday non-shimmer oil). So far I have not read about one person that received it. This was the one thing I was really looking forward to. I have been a subscriber for over 2 years and have never missed a month. This was a big disappointment to me. Instead of any Nuxe product, I received a sample size shower gel that looks like something you get complementary when you stay at a hotel. It can’t be worth anything near then price of the oil. Can’t believe they outright lied to people. Wow! They keep telling people on Facebook that are complaining that the boxes are customized to your profile. That’s nonsense. What profile would justify switching a $40 oil for a $5 body wash sample??? (By the way, my profile says I have dry skin!!!) They messed up and are not admitting it!
I haven’t seen in on Instagram either??? At first I thought the Nuxe I received was the Nuxe in the spoiler, but it wasn’t! Usually when they release a spoiler everyone gets that item?? At least that’s how it’s usually been?
The shimery nuxe is $54 and the other one (the one people are saying that is from the holiday box ) is $45. I received the nuxe shimmery one …love it!
I received the NUXE shimmering huile prodigieuse oil and it’s 3.3oz and it states it is $54. I looked to see if there was the sticker that I read about but this one does not have the holiday ad on it. I actually like this product. I thought that I was going to end u giving it away because of the shimmer but it looks a lot more shimmery than it really is. I actually like the glow it gives my skin. This is my first box (I payed for one and received two extra boxes which were garbage since both boxes had a spill in one a silver nail polish…you can imagine the mess). My box for July arrived on Aug 1. I received the melted chihuahua color lipstick, eyeko eyestick, fango sheet mask, Leighton denny miracle mist, and Glov makeup remover. I would think that they would want to give products of high value to their loyal customers, the ones that have been around for years. Companies need to realize that without customers they have no profits and the loyal customers should be treated well. I am new and due to the mess that I received in my two “free” boxes I don’t know if it’s worth staying. I tried calling but their phone is not working and I emailed (still waiting to see if they respond) The nail polish spill in the Toney box was so bad that all the products have silver nail polish and the worse part is that it is not broken it had the cap off (that was the case for both products that spilled) It shows irresponsibility on their part why put opened products in a box? I understand mistakes happen but two different boxes with the same issue….

I’m also disappointed in this month box! I was excited to try the nuxe oil and instead I recieved a hotel sample shower gel! I have had glossybox for over 6 months and they never seized to really surprise me anymore I’m glad I cancelled. It’s definitely not all the hype for.
Gina, I received my Glossybox today and I did get the Nuxe shimmering oil. I am so sorry you didn’t get what you wanted. I am super excited about all the products. I used the GLOV quick treat make remover this evening and it works great. Jennifer, I wasn’t too excited about hand washing either but it proved to be very simple. The makeup washed right out with no problems. I also used the Fango face mask, I received “moisturizer,” and it was amazing. My face feels so clean and refreshed!
My box was pretty sad. Instead of the Nuxe and Too Faced I got a $3 Sinful polish and a tiny pot of solid perfume. Very disappointed.
I did a quick calculation and my box was valued right at $37 LESS. That’s a lot! Usually variations don’t bother me but an $80 box vs a $43 box is unacceptable and also misleading. They shouldn’t be sending review boxes that in no way reflect what customers will actually receive. And nothing personal, Jen because this is all on Glossybox. I am in no way am upset with you. If anything I’m impressed you were brave enough to post what GB sent knowing there could be backlash by those feeling legitimately ripped off this month. (Jill from BLE).
Mine is in on the way, but it better not be as horrible as everyone else says theirs have been or I WILL ask for a replacement….because I just signed up for the 3 boxes in a row at $14.99 a box!!! I will pitch and fit and all my friends/family that I had join, I will have cancel….that’s my word at stake!!

I got the shimmer oil (not the holiday one), and have been with Glossy for a long time… Its great stuff! Love the whole box
I also got the melted lip stick, which I LOVE! I had always wanted to try it…. reall good box this time!!!
I didn’t receive the too faced lipstick (which imeans glad cuz I received it in a previous box). I got the Shimmer oil that was valued at $54 comma the sinful colors gel top coat (which I was actually thrilled about because I love sinful colors I think they make a quality polish and this is one of the best top coats ive ever used), I also received the solid perfume which again I’m thrilled about because I requested not to receive any more perfume samples because I felt like they would spill too easily and I could never travel with them in a makeup bag. I also received the eyeko eyeshadow stick,the fango mask and the nail Polish drying spray. I was really happy with everything I received and it all matched the description card that came in the Box. I’m curious if any of you who were disappointed in your boxes had items that matched up to the included information card. I really have noticed over time, I’ve been with them since December, that each month when I fill out these surveys and they asked me if I would like to continue receiving certain types of products if I say no they don’t send me those anymore and it’s really nice. So it really may be a factor of if you do those glossy. Surveys how you’re answering them. Hope you guys are happy with next month

This is my very first box, wasn’t sure which products to be expecting given all the negative reaponses regarding variations, but I am pleased to report that I recieved everything in the higher valued box, I’m lovong the Nuxe, very nice product. And the Too Faced is also a great product! I also recieved 2 free boxes with the order of this one and both of those boxes are awesome as well!! Looking forward to more great boxes from Glossybox!
