Luxor Box has such beautiful packaging. It’s such a treat to open up.
The July 2016 Luxor Box contained the following items:
~The Julian Bag from Shaffer LA ($195): This bag was redesigned exclusively for Luxor Box! It’s 8 x 4 (closed) and is handmade from the softest Italian leather. All subscribers will be receiving this gorgeous Cobalt Blue color. It’s not a large bag, but it should hold all of your essentials for a night out – a phone, lipstick, mascara, money, etc. The only thing I am not in love with is that it doesn’t have a zipper closure. I know you are supposed to tie it shut, but I am worried it will come open. I guess I will just have to be extra careful.
~Medium Crescent Clock by Dartington Crystal ($66): I believe the retail on this clock is $85, but I found it on Bluefly for $66, so I used that price. It’s a really pretty clock, but I can’t help thinking that it looks like a gift you’d receive for working at the same company for 20+ years (or something along those lines). It doesn’t match any of my home decor, so I will likely put this in the gift pile.
~Youth Corridor Dr. Gerald Imber Revitalizing Beta Hydroxy Mask ($115): Subscribers will receive either the Hydrating Soothing Mask or the Revitalizing Beta Hydroxy Mask that I received. The unique formula of the Revitalizing Mask “combines less irritating Beta Hydroxy acids, along with mild Poly Hydroxy acids and soothing allantoin to slough off dead skin cells without irritation”. The description scared me a bit, but I did find it non-irritating. It’s pretty pricey, so I am not about to ever buy this again, but I am happy to use this bottle.
~Graphic Image Jotter ($41 $20), Jotter Card Refill ($3.75) & Leather Wrap Pen ($40 $20): Fancy! The Jotter is a great way to take down notes while also being super stylish. Usually, if I need to write something down while I am out running around I have to dig in my purse for some scrap paper, but not anymore. The jotter has a place to store a few extra sheets of cards too. The pen I received doesn’t match the one on the information card, but it’s not a huge deal to me. Subscribers will receive either red or blue jotters and pens of “assorted colors” will be included. I guess I lucked out that mine matched.
The July 2016 Luxor Box had a value of $419.75. While the value was certainly there, I wasn’t overly excited about this box. Everything is nice and high-quality, but the only item that really wowed me was that gorgeous bag. Still, because I do love the bag and that’s more than the cost of the box, I can’t call this one a miss.
