~Good morning. Thank you so much for all the kind words on yesterday’s post. You guys are the best. Baxter was an amazing dog and really was a member of our family. Okay, moving on before I cry (again)!
~It should be another busy subscription box week around here (which I am super happy about). I am expecting my POPSUGAR Mystery Box, ipsy, bluum, Loot Crate (I am thinking we’ll get spoilers on that today), Smuggler’s Bounty, GLOSSYBOX, Five Four Club, BeautyFIX (they are resending), Something Snacks, Luxor Box, Phone Case of the Month and a handful of others. Those should keep me occupied.
~Have you tried the new Baby Lips Glow Balm? I love it! It has hydrating pH pigments that gives your lips their own personal pink glow. Super pretty.
~The Instant Pot! If you have one, talk to me! I got it on Prime Day (my Dad sent me the link to Prime Day about 1200 times and then texted me a few times to see if I bought anything, so really, this is his fault) and need some recipes ideas. I hear it makes food less “mushy” than slow cookers and that basically everyone who has one loves it. So if you have one, I would love to hear your ideas / favorites.
~That’s it from here, hope you have a great week!
Oh, honey, I’m so so sorry about Baxter. It’s beyond difficult to lose an pet; my heart hurts for all of you. Just know when you are ready there are shelters full of wonderful companion animals who would love a chance to be part of your family.
Thank you! We will be waiting a while, but for sure will explore all options when we are ready.
I have a different pressure cooker and I love it. I just cooked roast beast in it this past weekend in 45 minutes instead of 8 hrs it normally takes. You can do chicken in like 20 minutes. I found on pintrest a creole recipe I really enjoy making in it and a recipe for pozole I really enjoy making.
Awesome! I am thinking today or tomorrow will be my first test of it!
So sorry to hear about Baxter. Pets are amazing. I love reading how much they like receiving their barkbox.
I’ve been thinking about getting a cooker like that. I blame it on watching too many infomercials at the gym .
I love all those infomercials!
Baxter really was amazing. He was the best little furry guy ever.
Amazon has like a bazzillion (give or take a few) ebook cookbooks for the Instant Pot. A lot are free or cheap. They are a great start to get recipes. Also try http://www.hippressurecooking.com for great info and recipes.
Thank you!
I have never owned a pressure cooker because I am afraid of them :S I know it is silly but I do not know hehehe, this electric pressure cooker on the other hand looks safer, maybe I could give it a try in the future. What I did buy in prime day was an air fryer, I wanted one so badly but I was waiting for a good price, since they are in the expensive side, I hope it really works as I am imagining it will do 😀
Totally not silly, I am scared too! Let me know how the air fryer works!
My mother-in-law gave my a very expensive, very nice stove top pressure cooker a little over a year ago and I am scared to death to use it. It’s a beautiful cooker and I hate that I’m so scared of it, but my mom never used one so I’m really not sure how… I guess I need to give it a shot. I’m no chef, but I’m definitely not a novice. I’m surprised at how (silly) scared I am of using it! PLEASE let us know how your food comes out!
I will for sure. I will admit, I am a tad scared too.
Lol I got one two on prime day. Tonight was the very first time I used it. Stuck to the basic pot roast, it was tasty. I’ve been watching you tube instant pot videos. Just to get the visual feel of it from someone else. I’m happy with the purchase and will be collecting recipe s soon.
I am thinking about trying this tonight:

I am scared though and feel like I maybe need B here for the first time.
Catching up on posts…came here looking to see what you thought of the “Teen Mom: Becoming Butch” special… but then read about your sweet Baxter… I am so sorry for your loss… they are a part of the family and having to say goodbye is heartbreaking… I lost two of my cats that I had for 17 years each… I always say to my friends who lose a fur-baby that they come into our lives for such a short time, but leave paw prints on our hearts fur-ever… RIP Baxter… 🙁
Sending a big hug!!
