Hammock Pack July 2016 Subscription Box Review - "Maryland"
Hammock Pack is a monthly surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much-needed getaway without even leaving your home. Boxes are geared towards women and each month you will receive a pack filled with a mix of food, bath products, housewares, and accessories that you’d only find if you visited that month’s destination city.  I subscribe to the “Regular” Box.

Hammock Pack ships via USPS Priority Mail and is supposed to ship around the 25th of the month. The July box shipped much later than that. No e-mail was sent out about the delay and no explanation was provided.

This box looked pretty good!

The July 2016 “Maryland” Hammock Pack included the following items:

~Annapolis Candle (Bay Breeze) ($8): Bay Breeze has “subtle floral notes including geranium and lavender, with hints of clean cotton”.  It’s a light summery scent.  Annapolis Candles are hand-poured and naturally fragranced by a husband and wife team in Annapolis, MD.

~Dolle’s Candyland Salt Water Taffy ($4.99): This salt water taffy has a long history on the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD.  The package included chocolate, vanilla and strawberry taffy, but they offer over 30 flavors in all. It was creamy and delicious!

~Firebird Bath & Body Ginger Ale Body Lotion ($9): The information card says that the box includes Saltwater Body Lotion, but I received Ginger Ale Body Lotion.  I think I would have preferred the salt water.  This has a true ginger ale smell, but I am not sure I want to smell like ginger ale?  Maybe I will just use this as a hand cream.

~Fisher’s Caramel Popcorn (~$2): This popcorn is made in Ocean City, MD and was amazing.  The crab spice dusting was unexpected and really good.  Really really good!

~Waxing Kara Soap Bar ($9): This soap contain 100% natural ingredients and contains soothing oatmeal, honey, and the added benefit of anti-bacterial cinnamon essential oil.  I smelled it before I read the description and picked up a lot of cinnamon.  In addition to being made from 100% natural ingredients, it’s also free of parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl/eth sulfate, propylene glycol, or artificial dyes.

All totaled the July 2016 Hammock Pack had a value of $32.99.  I liked the contents of the box, but I didn’t like the fact that it was so late and that Hammock Pack didn’t send out any explanation or note letting subscribers know they should expect a delay. Hopefully they get back on track in August.

What do you think of Hammock Pack?  What city / state would you like to see them do next?
